“ There is so much going on in the Sixth Form which deepens your subject knowledge and broadens your general education, such as talks visiting speakers, debates and workshops. All the teachers provide a lot of support and you learn well beyond the syllabus. Evan (Upper Sixth student) ”
St Benedict’s Sixth Form
The Sixth Form Centre is separate from the rest of the school but very much part of the St Benedict’s community.
Sixth Form provides excellent preparation for university and beyond.
Most of our students achieve top A level grades and progress to study at prestigious universities.
The Sixth Form years are the most exciting and stimulating years of education - years in which students study what really interests them, discover new aptitudes and stretch themselves to achieve beyond what they had previously imagined.
First and foremost, our sixth formers are individuals, each with their own interests and ambitions, strengths and talents – we will help them find their talents and develop them to the full.
Our wide range of A Level subjects, combined with an outstanding enrichment programme, enable students to develop academically and personally. Seminar-style teaching, regular one-to-one meetings with tutors, and an emphasis on independent learning and research prepare our students exceptionally well for undergraduate work at university.
Students can also study for an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) or MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)

Pastoral Care
The wellbeing, security and happiness of our students are of the utmost importance to us. Every student has a daily meeting with their personal tutor. They are also actively supported by the Head of Sixth Form and the Careers Department, who offer individual guidance as they make decisions about universities and courses.
Co-Curricular: opportunities for personal development and growth
At St Benedict’s, there is a strong focus on personal development through our outstanding co-curricular programme. St Benedict’s has a distinguished sporting tradition: while many students train and compete at county and national level, everyone is encouraged to enjoy sport, teamwork, and fitness. Music and Drama are both excellent: there is a strong choral tradition, many instrumental ensembles, and frequent concerts demonstrating extremely high levels of musicianship. Termly drama productions have recently included A Doll’s House, and Oliver!
YOUR HOME FROM HOME
St Benedict’s is situated on a spacious site in a quiet, attractive, and safe residential area in the west London borough of Ealing. We are just 30 minutes away from central London – close enough to benefit from its many museums, galleries, theatres, and historic buildings.
St Benedict’s homestay students are welcomed and accommodated by west London families, within easy reach of the school. Our host families are selected with great care by Gabbitas, the education consultancy, and many will already have well established connections with St Benedict’s.

YOUR HOMESTAY PARTNER
St Benedict’s is proud to be partnering with Gabbitas as part of our Homestay programme.
For almost 100 years Gabbitas has been helping families living overseas find a ‘home from home’ for their children who are studying in the UK. Traditionally this has been guardianship for international students attending boarding schools, but they are now the market leaders in Day School Hosting.
They were a founding member of AEGIS, the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students, established in 1997.
Gabbitas acts as the educational guardian for each student (under their Child Student visa) This means that as well as ensuring that the host families are suitably matched with students, they are expected to treat them as they would any of their own children.
More information about Gabbitas can be found here: www.gabbitas.com
