CAREERS FAIR 2020

TO THE ST BENEDICT’S CAREERS FAIR 2020 Dear Parents and Pupils, It is a pleasure to welcome you to the St Benedict’s Careers Fair. This is the largest single event that the school undertakes and is driven solely by the need to inspire our pupils to use their unique talents as positively and powerfully as possible in the workplace and the wider world beyond St Benedict’s. We have over 120 organisations attending this evening, covering a huge range of careers. Many of the stands are staffed by parents, all of whom have taken time following a busy working day to provide advice and insight to our pupils. We are particularly grateful to our Old Priorians who are not just giving their time, but who are also reinforcing the community and ethos of the school as returning ‘old’ boys and girls. I would also like to congratulate U6th pupil, Aurelie Azzarelli-Bonnardel, for creating the winning design for this year’s Careers Fair logo, displayed throughout the school during the evening. We are delighted to welcome our seven speakers, who are generously offering their time and experience this evening and will be making formal presentations in speaker sessions. We are also most grateful to our sponsors Allied Irish Bank GB Ltd, Elliots Bond and Banbury, Gardiner Residential, Outsourced Events, Prince Evans Solicitors LLP and West 4 Construction Ltd who have generously supported this Fair. Finally we are absolutely delighted that Mr Tim Woollias, the Senior Industry Head at Google, is joining us as our keynote speaker for the evening. Google is of course one of the Big Four technology companies, alongside Amazon, Apple, and Facebook. Mr Woollias will be sharing with us his journey from school to Google. We wish you an enjoyable and fruitful evening. With my best wishes,

Andrew Johnson, Headmaster
