TALENT MANAGEMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES

Are you passionate about helping others succeed?

Do you want to play a key role in creating inclusive, equitable, and productive workplaces?

Can you see yourself using innovative and creative ways to engage employees and meet future labor needs?

When it comes to the success of a business or organization, it’s all about the people! More than ever, employers who are good at recruiting, hiring, and keeping talent in a complex world will thrive. This program is for students who truly love working with people and are energized by the idea of creating an inclusive and positive work environment for all employees—one that focuses on their needs and skills growth to reach the organization’s goals. Talent management is a rapidly growing field that puts the “human” back in “human resources.” It’s not all about policies and paperwork—these professionals who can build and foster diverse and productive teams will continue to be in high demand across all industries.

YOU WILL LEARN TO:

• Demonstrate knowledge of HR talent management practices and how they are linked to an organization’s goals

• Implement talent management strategies to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion from recruitment to ongoing training and development

• Identify and assess what motivates and drives employees

• Develop effective and equitable compensation plans that safeguard against discrimination based upon gender, race, ethnicity, or other status

• Identify reliable and valid assessment tools for selecting the right people for the right jobs

• Improve the overall employee experience by fostering a culture of flexibility and well-being
