LAKE GEORGE IS HOME TO “SUMMERTIME BY GEORGE”, a concert and festival that runs for 12 weeks every summer and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of St. Cloud. It's also a popular winter destination when the lake is open for ice skating. You'll find numerous paved walkways, a seating area, a beautifully-designed granite fountain and a welcoming plaza. Other features include a splash pad, public restrooms, playground area and performance pavilion. That’s right, the granite in the ground is a story in itself. Maybe you’re more of a military buff...we have the perfect place for you just a short drive down the road. Want to know even more...check out the history museum and learn about Stearns County and what helped to make the area what it is today.

Rock solid! Every area has its claim to fame and ours just happens to be in the ground. Granite is definitely not losing its luster here, and there are plenty of places to view it, including: Stearns History Museum, Quarry Park, Stearns County Courthouse, St. Mary’s Cathedral, MN Correctional Facility and St. John’s Abbey Church.
