Rider Race league is an introduction to the rewarding sport of BMX. Included in the program is a full year membership for USA BMX allowing the rider to participate in any event at any track in the United States, four coached lessons with our experienced riders teaching the fundamentals of BMX racing, entry into five races, a custom BMX jersey with the riders name printed on the back, a Pineview Park BMX number plate for their bike and free rental of a BMX bike and helmet (if needed). Level two (ages 9-10) includes students working on athletic skills, tennis skills, rally skills, and will apply skills in a game situation when ready. Hutt one, hutt two! We want to see you in Red, White, and Blue! Your child can make their way to the Apollo Eagle non-contact youth football camp and experience a fun opportunity to learn and develop the fundamentals of football. Your child will work with the Apollo coaches and varsity football players to learn blocking, tackling, ball security, offensive and defensive line techniques, and how to run proper pass routes. Players should dress according to the weather (t-shirts and shorts are suggested). Players do not need pads to attend this camp. Cleats are not required but can be worn. Come join the Tech Football Family! This is a padded, full contact football league offered to students at Clearview, Lincoln, Oak Hill, Talahi and South Junior High Schools who will be entering the 5th and 6th grades for the 2025-26 school year. Practices are held twice a week in the evenings and games are played on Saturday mornings. There are approximately 15-20 players per team. Students will learn the Tech Tiger fundamentals of blocking and tackling, develop both ball skills and take-away skills, and learn the offensive and defensive schemes and techniques used at Tech. Sportsmanship and teamwork will be emphasized throughout. 6th graders attending South Jr. High should sign up for the school they attended as 5th graders. Pads and other equipment will be provided. A wonderful musical opportunity awaits string players of all ages as they plan their summer fun. This camp is open to area violin, viola, cello and bass players. It will provide students with an opportunity to make music, meet new friends, and work with various conductors and musicians while improving skills. A variety of activities will be planned including orchestra rehearsals and sectionals plus enrichment activities such as fiddling, playing an electronic instrument and composing music. No auditions are required. Students must have completed one year or more of study on a string instrument. Car pools and early drop off for working parents can be arranged. Sheet music and a t-shirt will be provided (indicate Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL when registering). Please also indicate most recent school attended, string teacher, instrument and course section level. Level 1 – this group is geared for students who have completed one or two years of study. No prior group experience needed.
Level 2 – for students who have been playing at least two years, know all of the notes in first position and have had some experience in an orchestra setting. Suzuki equivalent is book 2 or 3.
Level 3 – a group for more advanced students who like to work on more challenging orchestra pieces. They need to have some experience playing in positions (2nd, 3rd, 4th) and should be using vibrato. Suzuki level should be book 4 or higher. Wind players may apply.
Concert will be held on Friday June 13, 2025, at 11 AM in the Apollo Auditorium.

This class offers a unique and fun approach for starters, but with the ability to teach styles, theory, and techniques to those with instrument experience. Participants should have their own instrument, but a limited number of guitars are available. Please check before registering for availability. Toddler will learn to ease the transition from parent to instructor and become more comfortable with their skills and surroundings. WHEN TO REGISTER
Registration for classes is open upon receipt of the catalog. Online registration announcements will be made available at www.isd742.org/CommunityEd.
CLASS CONFIRMATION
Unless we contact you, assume the course is held at the time and place indicated and that you are registered.
CANCELLATIONS
• Complete refund is given if a class is canceled or filled.
• A $5 cancellation fee plus direct expenses (materials, transportation, ticket and/or other class costs) will be charged if participants cancel a class within five working days and up to 24 hours prior to class.
• Classes canceled less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded.
• A $5/15 minute late pick-up fee is due upon pick-up.
• For Project Challenge ticketed events such as plays and sporting events/ games, refunds will not be issued if a class participant requests a cancellation once the registration deadline has passed (if one is indicated in the class description).
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
If participants are not 100% satisfied with a class, they can contact the Community Education Main Office at 320-370-8200 and we will gladly address your concerns.
SCHOOL CLOSINGS
If school closes during the day due to bad weather, Community Education will cancel all activities. Announcements are made on the District 742 website and local radio stations.
BE AN INSTRUCTOR
District 742 Community Education instructors are employed because they have a special skill or expertise they are willing to share with the community.

TRIPS & OUTINGS
All pick up times listed indicate the time the bus/van leaves that location. It takes some time to board the bus and secure wheelchairs so we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the departure time.
ACCOMMODATIONS
To facilitate your participation in a class/ activity, please call 320-370-8200. Project Challenge does not provide one-on-one support to individuals participating in classes.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
If you are eligible to receive financial assistance, it will consist of 50% off per class up to a $20 max per participant per catalog. You must be a resident of District 742 to qualify. Verification required. If you are a member of UCare Minnesota, contact Community Education for information regarding partial fee reimbursement.
