Helping Your Student Live Fully

Guide for Parents

Here, Students Learn & Grow Fully

Your student has worked hard to prepare for college. So it makes sense that you want them to make the most of the experience. At St. Edward’s, we’re built for that.

Professors devoted to teaching and mentoring. Success coaches focused on helping students make choices perfect for them. Experiences only a city as vibrant as Austin can deliver.

Finding the Right School is All About Fit

Stats and rankings are important. But for four years, college is a place a student calls home. Here’s our unique formula:

OPPORTUNITY + GUIDANCE

The St. Edward’s difference: We not only offer incredible specialized classes, extracurriculars and internships. Students also get a success coach so they know exactly which opportunities to pursue.

ACHIEVERS + INNOVATORS

Our students are smart, creative and motivated. Through research, entrepreneurship and partnerships with Austin organizations, they bring their unique ideas to the world.

PROBLEM SOLVERS + JUSTICE SEEKERS

Our goal is for 100% of students to engage in experiential learning, such as internships and service. And our Holy Cross mission helps students realize how they can contribute to a better world.

Fully Prepared for Life

Students have an incredible four years here — and will learn the foundation for success beyond it.

Students Bring Ideas, Curiosity and a Desire to Make a Difference

We’ll provide the opportunities, the roadmap and a helpful guide to take them exactly where they want to go. Success coaches help students get off on the right foot Our success coaches work one-on-one with students, and they know the best opportuni ties inside and out. They’re at a student’s side for life-changing decisions. Amazing opportunities at every turn CAMPUS • Learn-by-doing coursework • Publication-worthy research with professors • 600 campus events annually AUSTIN • Internships with Fortune 500 companies and cutting-edge startups • Connecting with industry leaders • Volunteering with environmental and civic organizations THE WORLD • Semesters abroad in more than 90 countries • Service trips to 10 states and 6 countries Full-time success coaches devoted to undergrad students 16

Students Make Lifelong Connections

We’re a close-knit school with small classes: No one gets lost in the shuffle. Students see their hallmates in classes, classmates in extracurriculars, and teammates in the campus cafés.

That means friendships that last.

It means that once they’ve graduated, they’ve got a built-in network for life.

At the same time, we don’t just focus inward. Our students study abroad in dozens of countries. They travel around the city and across the country to do meaningful service.

We may be small. But we think very, very big. TAKE

How I Make the Most of St. Ed’s I like trying new things, and I have many interests. Whether it’s academics, internships, athletics, clubs, service or fun activities in Austin, I’m lever aging so many opportunities here. St. Ed’s is giving me the chance to chase my dreams.

Changed My Life In my “Environmental Controversies in Austin” class, I learned about injustices happening only miles away from where I was sitting, such as food insecurity and environmental racism. It taught me that to change the world, I could start with my own backyard. BREAKOUT STUDENTS Students Get the Full Experience 46 Countries Represented
