Stephane Ducret

Ducret's early development as an artist reflects a multitude of influences. In 1995, at the age of 25, Ducret (Swiss-Argentine, born in 1970 in Lausanne, Switzerland) graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Art Visuel de Genève (now renamed HEAD, Haute Ecole d'Art et de Design). In 1999, he moved to a Chinatown studio in New York City. Living and working in New York, and traveling regularly to Switzerland, at the turn of the Millennium, Ducret saw a number of exhibitions that greatly impressed him - Andreas Gursky's 1999-2000 exhibition at Matthew Marks Gallery and Sue William's 2000 exhibition at 303 Gallery in New York, Christopher Wool in his 1998 exhibition at the Kunsthalle Basel in Basel (...) Stéphane Ducret lives and work in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
