EDITO The French Furniture Industry, aka l’Ameublement français, is coming back to London, for Decorex International. The ideal occasion for interior designers and retailers to (re)discover French savoir-faire and its famous “French touch” in furniture design and manufacturing! The French Furniture Industry is an organization dedicated to helping French manufacturers to promote their brands all over the world. To help them access export markets, we have organised a collective presence at Decorex as well as some other international trade fairs (Milan - Salone del mobile, ICFF New York, Index Dubai, Shanghai - Furniture China). For Decorex 2017, there will be a total of 9 brands united under the motto My Furniture is French. Ardamez, Bassaïsteguy-Masson, Collinet, Drucker, Gautier, Lucien Gau, Matière Grise, Petite Friture, Taillardat will all present their bespoke products and emblematic collections, highlighting French art de vivre, elegance and creativity.
Showcasing “the bike of the future” in partnership with Bolloré Logistics. This bike was created to demonstrate that apprenticeship can ensure the sustainability of traditional crafts (passing on the knowledge and skills associated with traditional artisanship to future generations), but also develop new skills through state-of-the-art technology and the discovery of related materials. It has been crafted by the AFPIA* Est-Nord training centre, using various industrial manufacturing techniques such as computer-aided design, and Numerical Control machining as well as traditional craftsmanship techniques: the bike saddle is leatherwrapped, the rear part of the frame is gilded with gold 980/1000 and some wooden parts have been profiled by hand.

Since it was founded in 2005, MG has been combining interior and outdoor design codes with a shrewd and sensitive eye. Based on original design and manufacturing methods of the 18th century, our models are hand-drawn in the concern to pass on the French Tradition. The supply is directly inspired by the Louis XV, Louis XVI, Empire and Directory styles with a catalog of more than 320 pieces of furniture and seats. In addition to our classic collections, we punctually design original models where all our craftsmanship is expressed and can offer a new and contemporary lighting on our expertise. We are also open to study with our customers the design and production of exclusive custom models. The skill and knowledge of experienced cabinet makers, is allied with creative and commercial management abilities of a modern firm. The manufacturing, entirely French, is made by our cabinet-makers. The finishing: varnish, patina,
gilding, laying of leather and ornamental borders, reassembling and tapestry, is hand-made in our workshops by an enthusiastic and qualified team of 20 people which allows us to be involved in the most prestigious projects all over the world. Relying on a specialized team and on a policy of quality, the Company has known how to develop customer loyalty with professionals, architects, interior designers, design offices, luxury hotels, Embassies, Private Palaces etc. Since 2015, TAILLARDAT is part of a holding called EMBLEM, as well as LES EMAUX DE LONGWY, specialized in French fine and hand-crafted ceramics.
