An Experimental Typographic Form by stephanie bullock

i Prompt Create an experimental typographic form that represents one or more of the archetypes you identify with. As for what choice of words you use, it is up to you. The choice of materials must be true to the archetype(s) and their essence or personalities you are referencing.

PLAYFULNESS I Play is a large part of my life, my personality, and my process. When researching the many personality archetypes and transitioning into experimental typography, it was important that this did not get left behind.

INSPIRATION I

i

MATERIALS I + felt + gummy bears + sprinkles + paper + mirrors + gumball machine + toast

FORMS I

+ deconstructed letterform + photograph + sculpture + collage + compartment/system +grid

ABCDEFG HIJKLMNOP QRSTUV WXYZ I Gotham Rounded Bold I Why?

+ had to be a serif + wanted something soft + refined playfulness + balance/geometry

METHOD I The word fun was chosen for its direct tie with play and also because of the lack of counters in the word when rendered in all caps. The explamation mark was altered to continue the softness of the overall form. Additionally, the punctuation of that exclamation maintained a solid fill.
