SINUOUS FLOW
Exposure is the synonym of orientation. My design concept is to help people to create their own path through Kroger marketplace by deleniating a pattern that reacts both to the existing building and the furniture. The pattern changes hierarchically through materiality and denotes areas of importance. These spaces become opportunities for art installations without taking away from its functionality.

Palazuelo was a Spanish painter and sculptor. His patterns and PABLO Pablo ďŹ gures inspired a logic to the circulation of my floor plan. Palazuelo was a inspiring source to create a coherent relation between flooring and PALAZUELO really furniture.
INSPIRATION
JESUS SOTO
Jesus Soto was a Venezuelan op and kinetic artist, a sculptor and a painter. His kinetic artwork inspired aesthetically in the design of the coffee shop. Soto’s artwork motivates me to put together two different materials (rubber and chrome) creating an innovative instalation above the coffee shop in the new kroger marketplace.
As an abstracted representation of Jesus Soto’s work the lamps in the coffee shop hang from the ceiling system, creating a playful composition of light bulbs that flow through out the bar
INSPIRATION
The overall layout opposes traditional and conventional ways of distributing shelves in a super market and expose the customer to new products based on diets and embellish the cooking experience. Three main areas are connected through a ceiling installation. These moments help connect the customers throughout the space, bringing some hierarchy, making the experience more compelling.

We can recognize kroger marketplace as a place to spend time with our family and friends, even to go and have lunch after work. Most of the clients in kroger are students, workers and families. Students and workers have a different path as families do; Workers and students go eat or have a coffee, families go around the most common areas in the suppermarket such as the delicatessen and refrigerated areas. FLOOR PLAN
The coffee shop is the main space in Kroger supermarket. The space is designed with light colored materials which produce a refreshing look. Vertical elements appear from the center piece, working as lamps highlighting the flow and continuation from the flooring pattern. The intersection between the cable and the surface articulates and accentuates the surface by creating fluid ďŹ gures. Savannah has a strong classical heritage. For this reason ceramic and stones are used for the table tops and flooring of the coffee shop. Contemporary uses are applied to juxtapose this vintage/traditional look.
COFFEE SHOP
A mixture of contemporary and traditional material and furniture plays an important role in the Coffee Shop. The flooring materiality is hexagon mosaic to deďŹ ne the space and create a path around the space.
COFFEE SHOP
The sushi bar is a strong destination for people to enjoy time and also the product that Kroger is selling. Furniture is fluid and organic yet shows a strong sense of convivence with the materials and pattern. A central piece connects the ceiling with the sushi bar, marking the bar and creating a visual connection with the Coffee bar
SUSHI BAR
This area is located near the entrace, with that said the area needs lighting and guidence thorugh the space due to where is placed. For the materiality I choose to create welded aluminum pipes for the ceiling lamp, plastic chairs and the table top is created with marble Calacatta.
