Friends breeders and fellow,

Welcome to and thank you for your interest in the inaugural Collection event. An event that was developed by the IBE committee to feature the Illinois Beef Expo. To spotlight the quality of cattle exhibited by Illinois exhibitors and to add both prominence and value to cattle bred by Illinois breeders. I would like to commend the entire Illinois Beef Expo board on their, innovation and foresight to start the wheels in motion for such an event, also I would like to thank them for asking me to be a part of it.

A series of calls with IBE Board president, Wes Keller before the holidays discussing my ideas for this event and in no time at all we had a plan and the green light. We are looking forward to growing this not only into an annual event, but one of prestige, simply stated I would like to grow this into the premier event of its kind. With that stated I would like to thank the breeders in the state and those across the country who are supporting this very 1st event. They are leaders in the industry and honored to be associated with them. It’s not easy to take a chance on a new venture such as this but being the leaders they are, many of them dug deep and are offing the very best they have to offer.

I am proud that we are offering proven mattings out of many great females and sibs to many great champions in the state of Illinois. We are proud to be offering genetic sibs to four of your state fair top 5 females, additionally sibs to the Land of Lincoln champion and a genetic sib to you Reserve Grand Champion Steer.

I know there will be purchases made sale night of future champions, future high sellers and future breed greats. I know Saturday evening there will be an investment of not only money, but in peoples time and their attention. It will be fueled by passion, it will require persistence, but it will pay off. Lives will be forever changed because of the investments made Saturday. I am that confident of the offering.
