Lady Crystal 2105

Every once in a while in this game you’re gonna hit a home run, maybe even a grand slam. Don’t take it for granted! Cherish every single hit because you’re also gonna see fouls and strikes from time to time. Don’t ever forget, you can’t hit if you don’t swing!

The 2105 cow is hitting it out of the park right now and our family couldn’t be more proud that we bred this female. We’ve been involved in Shorthorns since 1960 and she is taking us into the next 30 years!

1A

Sapphire 2401 is really, really special! She’s been a standout since day one and has stayed in the mind’s eye of everyone who has seen her. She was shown successfully at NJSS, winning her class in the Bred & Owned Show. This heifer has it all – a tremendous amount of stoutness and an abundance of style to go along with. She is ultra-complete with a levelness of top and square of hip that gives her that show heifer look. If you’d like a really good redneck roan with great hair and a great disposition that’s already been shown and is ready to compete at the highest levels, this heifer is for you!

LOT 1B

So, Emerald 2404 has been a little “greener” all along. However, on picture day she began to make her move and some say she is the one for the long haul. I certainly don’t know who is going to be the better producer but I do know that both of these heifers are high quality individuals that can compete anywhere! Emerald 2404 is super good through the center portion of her body, square in her design and very attractive when she gets her head up and ears forward…she is a real show heifer type!

LOT 1C

This one is as good as it gets! Crystal Dream is a stout-made, big-bodied “Show Heifer Deluxe!”

An excellent individual phenotypically, and genetically she’s a Dream Maker x 434P daughter which makes her an elite donor prospect. It was truly difficult to decide to offer her, that’s why we’re retaining half embryo interest. Consider LCCC truly “invested” in the exciting future of this great female!

The donor of Lot 2 sold in the 2021 Great Shorthorn Revival as a heifer calf and was one of the top-selling females. She went on to win her division in the 2021 NAILE Open Show. After several competitive outings as a big bred heifer, she won her class within a very competitive division at 2022 NAILE. Next, she produced an outstanding bull calf who teamed up with her to capture the Division X Champion Cow Calf Pair honors at the 2023 National Junior Show.

Lady Crystal 2105 is believed by many good cowmen to be as close to 434P as any of her many great offspring have been. Combining Direct Deposit’s powerful Margie 950 genetics with 2105 brings a new dimension that will be difficult to match. You’ll see this heifer on the leading edge in the show ring and the donor pen.

Armstrong Lady Crystal 2105 has been gaining attention lately! From Champion Cow/Calf honors at the 2023 National Junior Shorthorn Show to her Red Knight daughter, Lot 1A, who created quite a buzz among breeders in Timonium. Her daughters who sell as Lots 1B and 1C are further evidence of her dominant influence! There have been many daughters of the great 434P, and to call 2105 the best one would be hard to do. However, when you compare 434P and 2105 phenotypically, several cowmen with “good eyes” say there has not been one as closely patterned as 2105!

434P-6

If you’ve been paying attention to the latest trends, you’ll recognize that the most popular mating in the breed is Red Knight x Lady Crystal.

This combo keeps producing champions at the highest levels!

As the 434P’s continue to age, and Red Knight semen becomes even more rare, you should also recognize you’re not going to find ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES like this one very often...if at all.

Lady

Crystal 1252

by

Right Direction which makes her a sister to many, many GREAT ONES!

The Lady Crystal 434P family is producing dominating females from coast to coast. That is why every top herd in the country has a Crystal in their maternal arsenal! Right Direction semen is very scarce and that only solidifies the position of Lady Crystal 1252 and accelerates her potential to produce a great one. Phenotypically, 1252 is hard to fault. When we purchased her we knew we’d mate her to Red Knight for sure. As scarce as Red Knight semen is, these eggs have a lot of value. The Aviator heifer pregnancy takes the principle of “supply and demand” to a whole new level! These are show heifers and future donors. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.

The Lucy branch of the Lady Crystal cow family needs no introduction! Sired by SULL Traveler, this three-year-old female is the daughter of the great Lucy Lu who is the full sister to 2012 NJSS Grand Champion SULL Crystal’s Lucy. These two females are by Aviator and are direct daughters of Lady Crystal 434P-1. Bred to our herd sire, selected from The Summit Sale OKC 2024 (1872 x Red Reward/HD Ruby daughter), Lot 6 presents an opportunity to acquire exciting genetic potential that will take you to the next level.

CRYSTAL’S LUCY ET 2012 NJSS Grand Champion Female Full Sister to Dam of Lot

The dam of Lot 7 embryo package is a 3/4 sister to CF CSF Crystal’s Swan who won OKC, NJSS and NAILE for Houston Ferree. The fact that Crystal’s Swan 217 did enough winning to be named runner-up Early Spring Yearling Female for the South Central Region proves that phenotypically she is a force on her own. The proven genetics behind her are an added bonus. We mated Red Knight with Crystal’s Swan 217 to produce a show heifer deluxe that will become a donor extraordinaire. As scarce as Red Knight semen is getting, you sure don’t want to miss the opportunity to add this mating to you Revival shopping list under the category: Herd Builder!

In 2019, upon my retirement as a United Airlines Captain, we expanded our Angus cattle business of many years into the Shorthorn breed. I approached Steve about buying a show heifer/donor prospect. He quickly answered, “The Margie 1914 heifer calf is the most elite female in the sale and you should seriously consider buying her.” When I saw her, I agreed, right to the last bid of $23,000. Two years later, her first natural calf, Margie 2124, sold to Tadmore Farms for $46,000! 2124 is pictured winning NAILE Early Spring Calf Champion and Fort Worth Reserve Grand Champion. She and 2378, her half sister by Lookout pictured on page 9, are proof of the leadership 1914 will provide to a breeding program with “above all” aspirations!

Flip back to page 8 and take another look at Margie 1914. This heifer pregnancy is her full sister! The production capability of this mating is proven and in demand. We have all seen how high Aviator females sell (when a guy can find one), they are becoming harder and harder to acquire. 611 is one of the most gorgeous females I have been around. It’s no wonder she had such a successful run in 2017, winning Reserve Grand Champion of NJSS and NAILE Junior Show.

The phenomenal Margie 611 is a direct daughter of the great NAILE Champion, Margie 119 SOL. Don’t forget, Hot Commodity makes her the full sister to Long Look! It is our privilege to celebrate the 23rd Annual Revival Sale and we will be honored for you to join us

We were inspired to create The Great Shorthorn Revival in 2001 on a sale weekend trip with Clint Tomson, age 92 at that time.

on-site or online!

Clint was a Shorthorn man from birth, an international show judge, salesman extraordinaire, and he served as Executive Secretary of American Shorthorn Association from 1941 to 1951. He left the association to join his boyhood Shorthorn friend Frank Harding, and Frank’s father F.W. Harding, in forming American Live Stock Insurance Co., but Clint never left behind his love for the breed he helped make great.

Steve kicked off two days of discussion with a great question that had perplexed him for some time, “Clint, how are we going to get Shorthorn breeders to focus again on the cow families that made the breed great?”

Without hesitation, Clint held forth with a marketing lesson like none we’d ever had. He started with, “Steve, you’re going to have to create an ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY. You can’t just tell people the cow families are important. You have to show them! And show them right in their pocketbook, where it counts the most!”

Revival Consignors work together to present...

The greatest variety of desirable, marketable Shorthorn genetics from proven cow families.

A wide range of Shorthorn investment options that will improve your herd, and increase in value.

An opportunity to see the results of cutting edge genetics to help make future mating decisions.

A networking event to create profitable connections with leading breeders and marketing agents.

A fun, memorable learning experience, with good cattle and good people, that you and your family will enjoy!

If we can help you in any way – before or after the sale – call or text Steve

REVIVAL DOCUMENTATION OF TERMS • For lots in which future fulfillment is a factor (ie. retained rights and retained percentage ownership), the Revival prepares a document that outlines the original sale terms and is retained on file in case of a dispute.

REVIVAL EMBRYO PACKAGE TERMS • If implanted by a certified embryologist, all embryo lots are guaranteed to produce at least one pregnancy, or one replacement embryo will be provided. Embryos must be implanted, and replacement claim made, within a calendar year from purchase date. Complete settlement must be made in order for embryos to be released. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Buyer must contact the consignor directly within 30 days of the sale to make embryo shipping arrangements. Consignors cannot be expected to store embryos for you longer than 30 days unless you have personally made arrangements with them to do so.

We want you to be successful with your Revival purchase!

PREGNANCY INSURANCE • The Revival strongly encourages buyers of pregnancy lots to invest in pregnancy insurance. The policy covers a live birth and the first 49 days of life. Cost is 15% of the purchase price for 30 days, and 17.5% for 6 months. For heifer pregnancy insurance contact Jeanne Conover, Conover Insurance Services, at 515-491-1335 by October 7, 2024.

RETAINED FLUSH RIGHTS

• Sellers who have retained the right to flush a specific female are responsible for all expenses and the coordination of services (timing and location) at the buyer’s convenience. It is not unusual to conduct multiple ET sessions (conventional or IVF) to achieve the minimum quantity of embryos desired.

DNA GENOTYPING & GENETIC TESTING • A DNA genotype is utilized in establishing parentage, determining the presence of a genetic condition, and to produce genomically enhanced EPDs (GE-EPDs). Animals do not have to be DNA genotyped, or free of a genetic condition, to be registered. However, if an animal becomes an A.I. sire or donor dam all required genetic testing must be completed and a DNA record must be on file with ASA prior to registering any progeny. Buyers are urged to consult the association website for the most up-to-date test results for all genetic conditions.

Making a purchase in the Great Shorthorn Revival creates the eligibility to consign to future sales. Contact Steve French to discuss potential lots!

I have no doubt that this heifer will stand a lot of heat in the May division throughout her show career. It takes a LOT of work to make a champion and showing her will be exciting, gratifying and fun! I also have no doubt that, as a uniquely bred donor, Marvelous DM 2426 will make an impact on your bottom line. Between you and me, there’s some Marvelou$ Money to be made with 2426!

Of course, we already own half interest in Margie 950, but I purchased Margie 2401 last year as a Revival Heifer Pregnancy and I intended to keep her. In the spirit of always selling our best, she is lotted as a sale feature. Note that we plan to stay involved when she’s ready to flush!

Margie 2401’s overall power and muscle shape is amazing. She will impress you in the sale pens, and become the ultimate “wow cow” that impresses visitors in your pasture.

BFS Margie LL 950 was the crowd favorite at Louisville and Oklahoma City, and was named Reserve Grand Champion at the 2021 Cattlemen’s Congress. Campaigned expertly by the Wetzel family, she was Division or Reserve Division Champion, under seven different judges, at all three major shows (Kansas City, NAILE and Cattlemen’s Congress) both Junior and Open Shows, as well as the National Junior Shorthorn Show.

This former show heifer is an even more impressive cow. She is the mother of Direct Deposit, 2024 Cattlemen’s Congress Grand Champion. Her first daughter, sired by Flash, was Reserve Grand Champion Bred & Owned Heifer at the 2023 NJSS.

Lot 12 brings together matings to two sires: Red Knight and Right Direction. Lot 13 offers one choice of three matings: Flash, Current Commodity or Perfection. You can only acquire this opportunity at the Great Shorthorn Revival!

{ CF TRUMP X DFS MARGIE 6109

Lot 15A is absolutely the stoutest made, most powerful heifer we are selling in this year’s sale. Margie 2402 will knock you out with her depth and overall thickness, and good front end. Full sister 15B was purchased as a Heifer Pregnancy in the 2023 Revival by Madeline Taylor and Hank Phillips, and she was born at their Vache Grasse Farm in Arkansas. (Vache Grasse is a major creek near Belle Point. It may be hard to pronounce, but it’s French for “fat cow.” Who doesn’t like that? ) When they sent the photo of 2401 it stopped me in my tracks. Whoa! This is what Margie 542 is all about – CONSISTENTLY POWERFUL! Lot 15C, Dave and Josh are sharing another set of eggs of the same mating. Only at The Revival!

Margie 355 is the complete package, solid red, moderate, super correct, eye appealing – an excellent combination of phenotype and very balanced EPDs. She is sired by PVF Excel who has a little more growth and power than most and was one of the high-sellers at Paint Valley. Her dam is a terrific, young Red Blood daughter, a granddaughter of the original D&D Margie’s Beauty 610S who produced Modoc Margie for Cates and so many great ones for Greenhorn.

Margie 355

We bred Margie 355 and many of our heifers to Barkley, the Homo-D polled son of Flash out of Margie 950. He is stylish, like his maternal brother Direct Deposit, with super EPD’s, note his low birth wt. This bred heifer will have many high marks on sale day!

Since winning 2021 NJSS 5th Overall, Margie 093 has become an amazing cow for us. Her natural calf of this same mating (pictured) was 2023 NJSS Division 1 Champion and won the Bred & Owned Show at 2023 Keystone. Payweight females have been competing hard in the show ring and were Cates Farms highest sellers. They will be more popular and more expensive in days to come as Payweight success stories continue to rack up. If you like them cowy and bold this is a mating for you!

BJSF SULL SWEET DREAMS 2934 – Full Sister to Lot 18 Heifers 2024 National Western Reserve Division Champion

The donor dam of Lot 18 stems from the long line of Dream Ladies, one of the most dominant families in the Shorthorn breed.

Her full sisters finished in the Top 5 at the NJSS 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. As a heifer calf, Sweet Dreams 9134G was Grand Champion of the 2020 National Western Junior Show and, later that year, was selected 2020 NJSS Reserve Grand Champion.

Kolten Greenhorn showed the daughter of Sweet Dreams 9134G by Red Knight pictured (full sister to the Buyer's Choice five heifers!) to the top of her class at the 2023 NJSS and won Reserve Division Champion at the 2024 National Western.

Sweet Dreams 9134G is a full sister to SULL Dream On 5158 ET, the dam of SULL Dream Maker. Added foot size and bone combined with structural correctness and extra body mass make Sweet Dreams 9134G a powerful force in the future of the Dream Lady line, and the Shorthorn breed. Now is the right time. The Lot 18 Red Knight x 9134G heifer choice is a unique, and unequaled, economic opportunity that you're only gonna find at The Revival.

Miss Margie 2190's dam, Miss Margie 9169, is a full sister to SULL Solution's Margie, and maternal sister to D&D Margie's Beauty 610S and CF Modoc Margie 523 TPX. The dam of 9169, DFS Margie 6109, is considered the matriarch of the modern Margies from which multiple prolific lines have stemmed. You may remember the story of the Miss Margie 9169 breeding project Lynn Ewald and I took on. (The story was featured in the 2022 Revival catalog. ) I'll admit it was a fairly risky deal, but it was very well worth it to create the three daughters we achieved: two by Worldwide and 2190 by Current Commodity, who sells as Lot 22. I should mention that you may hear us refer to 2190 as "Missy." She's been one of Joan's favorite females for very good reasons and she bestowed her nickname early on.

2190 was shown by our good friend Charlie Sutherland at the 2022 NJSS where she earned Reserve Division Champion. After that big win, she returned to LCCC to proceed in her intended role in the herd. Current Commodity daughters make great cows! 2190 is young and will be a front pasture fixture for many years to come. For her only IVF flush, we mated her two ways, Red Knight and Direct Deposit, and she produced 9 embryos. Two of each sell as a package of four in Lot 22A. The package of matings to two very popular sires is a unique opportunity to access a great young female with a big time future!

Margie2190

The dam of Lot 22 was acquired for the purpose of creating daughters to continue a direct line to the matriarch DFS Margie 6109. Miss Margie 2190 is ONE of only three made.

Worldwide heifers out of our Margie cows have been some of the most consistent calves we have raised. They are sound, clean fronted and bold in their rib design. LOT 25

Lot 24 & Lot 25 are ready for young juniors thanks to Adalynn's time, talent and effort!

Blanford Pierce

Keeper of the Legacy

June 8, 1938 –March 19, 2024

Blanford was the fourth generation to operate Woodlawn Farms, L.B. Pierce and Sons, founded in 1871. For over ten decades, Woodlawn’s pursuit of perfection set a high standard of excellence for the Angus breed. With never more than 125 cows, Angus cattle were the only source of income for the Pierce family for four generations. Blan continued the family’s Angus cattle business until its dispersal in May, 2005. Two years later, he and Joan began to acquire Shorthorns to bring the history of Woodlawn Farms full circle. You see, Blan’s great grandfather, B.R. Pierce, raised Shorthorns for ten years prior to shifting to Angus in 1881. Blan and Joan have been studious, actively interested Shorthorn breeders and Revival consignors. And they've had a lot of fun doing it!

With deep appreciation for the lessons of his ancestors and a sense of obligation to pass it on, Blanford established the Woodlawn Scholarship Endowment with Angus Foundation, the first fund so gifted from an Angus breeder. Blan and Joan have faithfully supported SYDF at Revival Sales with generosity and enthusiasm!

Many have picked 2424 in the Top 3 of our offering. Stout-made and super sound, this Current Commodity daughter shows why lining up Red Knight/Aviator genetics is magical.

I purchased Red Knight x Max Rosa Chrome embryos from Dave and Josh Greenhorn in hopes of making a sale feature. (One more time. Red Knight/Aviator. Magic!) You can see for yourself in Lot 45A that this combo just doesn’t miss. Max Rosa Chrome 2427 has all the components of a super show heifer. She really moves well and balances up great. This Red Knight daughter of GCC’s great female Chrome 411 is one to put on your list to look up when you get here. She has achieved my sale feature goal, so she will not be hard to find!

MAX ROSA CHROME 411 ET

Max Rosa Chrome is my favorite Max Rosa! That’s why we invested in this Denver division champion and Cyclone Trace (CYT) high-seller. Her progeny have done very well for us. Take a serious look at her daughter, Lot 45A. (Steve says she’s gonna be “up front” in the pens!) This mating of Chrome 411 to Evolution has the makings of an astounding female with as many prospects as her dam. Enough said.

The only other May heifer in the 2024 Revival, Lot 46A, is closely related to the Hope’s Mirage heifer we sold last year to the Dryer family, featured on page one “Success Stories,”winning the 2024 Illinois State Fair Junior Show. The dam of Lot 46A was originally the “pick” of Quintin Smith, now she’s the lead donor for Waymar, Spartan Valley and Ippensen. She is a super cow and Worldwide really worked on her. (Note both lots across the page are the magical Red Knight/Aviator. It’s officially a trend!) This heifer is among the best we are selling and I’m proud to say Q’s family is our partner. The Revival remembers...

Quintin Smith

Master Cowman

October 9, 1954 –February 25, 2024

Q and Vicki first came to The Revival on a weekend cattle trip with Angus friends, the Pierces and McMahons. Q was impressed with the opportunities here and they left Shorthorn breeders! Missing Mirage 18 is the most significant female Q owned, but his most impactful purchase was the Lot X Shorthorn Steer that sold at the end of the sale in 2013. That steer was the jumpstart for Q’s nephew, David Smith, to get started showing cattle. Few juniors have achieved the number of national championships that David did, in EVERY major beef breed, and he remains a breeder today as a young adult. Q loved juniors! He contributed countless “hunnerd” dollar bills, and his good, good heart to help kids get started, learn, succeed, and most of all, become lifelong breeders, just like Q.

What a truly great Shorthorn cow!

Remember that Mirages are Roses which makes Missing Mirage 18 a member of one of the greatest cow families of the Shorthorn breed. (See page 29.)

Hey, look! The matings of 46B and 46C matings add MORE Rose on the topside. (It’s been long known, and widely proven that you can’t have too much!) Red Knight is a son of Solution, son of Desert Rose 004. Current Commodity is the son of Desert Rose 0004 CL.

When we were looking to buy this donor in the 2023 Revival Sale, Steve reminded me that there are not a lot of Mirages around anymore. Adding the strength and predictability of Mirage genetics to your herd is a smart move. These eggs may be the best ones to boot!

The Red Knight daughter of the great Bo’s Traveling is a true sale feature! She will inspire many breeders to dream of what could be. The time is NOW. Invest in a game changing female for your herd. I’m excited about her mating to Direct Deposit for a mid-February calf!

Myrtle Bo 1876’s two daughters were sold to Canada last year into two prominent herds, Head for the Hills and Hill Haven. Her first bull calf was a class winner at NJSS for Juliana Ritchie and sold to DeLisle Farms for a herd sire. “King” is getting the job done in that elite, and growing, Shorthorn breeding program just north of us.

An exciting mating of the Long Look daughter of Myrtle Bo 1876 and the Australian sensation, Slurpie!

Myrtle Bo 2302 is the natural heifer of Myrtle Bo 1876, the exceptional donor featured as Lot 47. Last year when we bought 2302, we totally agreed with Steve that Long Look worked well on 1876. We liked the style and balance of 2302 and the maternal power of the Myrtle Bo line. We know it will come through in this exciting ET mating to the Australian sensation, Ronelle Park Slurpie. So, let’s talk about the breed greatness that lines up in the future of this cow.....Red Knight x Myrtle Bo 46P, Right Direction (sire of Direct Deposit), Margie 950 (dam of Direct Deposit). I could go on and on. Betty Bo’s pedigree is as hot as it gets in the Shorthorn breed right now, and bred to Direct Deposit for a January 1 calf is a no-brainer. This is about the fast lane! Your next great herd sire or 2025 show heifer is developing within Lot 49 right now! Betty Bo is a great cow, with donor potential, who is in the prime of her life! She is a tremendous specimen with amazing udder quality. This is an opportunity for all breeders with an eye on the future, those new to the breed or longtime veterans, breeders with herds small in numbers or many, to access the always elusive ideal: Breed Greatness!

DONOR

Martha’s Bo is well-known in the Shorthorn breed. When you see her natural calf that sells at her side you will see why! I remember seeing Martha’s Bo in the stalls at Lousville and saying “Man, what a female.” I mated her to Red Knight for her last two flushes and she produced 10 embryos one time and 11 the next. We plan to continue the Martha’s Bo legacy with daughters by Red Knight. This female is a big time moneymaker, don’t let an economic opportunity pass you by!

Lot 50A will be offered at side of her dam. We are so excited about her Lookout daughter ! She’s the youngest female in the sale and could very well be the BEST! There is serious VALUE in this Lookout daughter. Mark this down, Lookout works on Aviators!

We invested in the package of Dream Maker x Martha’s Bo unsexed embryos in the 2022 Revival Sale. We were hoping for a heifer and made a great one! Martha’s Dream is balanced, correct and complete and we know she has a bright future ahead. Dream Maker semen was always in limited supply and his daughters will always be in high demand. The influence of Aviator and Martha’s Bo on the maternal side makes this female a valuable “investment package” that will build your breeding program.

July 27, 1931 – August 28, 2024

From 2002 through 2014, my parents, David and Mary Ann McMahon, missed only one Revival Sale. They went to an Angus sale instead, but they never made that choice again! Coming to Michigan and having fun with Shorthorn folks was the highlight of their fall season. They bid on and bought a lot of Shorthorns, and contributed tens of thousands to support Shorthorn Youth Development in Revival fundraisers. My dad couldn’t travel in 2015, and he died in 2016. So the last nine years, Mary Ann didn’t want to make the trip to Michigan in September without him. We know she missed the Revival Sale , but through her late 80’s and early 90’s, on the morning of the sale, she never failed to send a text (Yes, a text!) to me...

Red Knight daughter Felecia 2408, is as good as they get. Square-made in her design, deep through the center portion of her body, she’s extremely feminine, and has all the right structural angles.

While she may “read” slightly greener in the catalog, don’t second-guess. She is really, really good. You can ask the guys in Dunlap if Red Knight x Red Reward Daughter works, but I think we all know the answer to that!

The Revival was started to preserve and promote the great cow families of the breed and many, many great females and bulls have passed thru the ring here. It was Steve’s idea for Ben to show the dam of Lots 56A/56B for Woodlawn Farms after they bought Felecia 1830 in the Revival. What a great experience for our family to know Blan and Joan, and we were so fortunate they agreed to sell the powerful Felecia 1830 to us after we finished showing her. Our decision to buy Felecia was one of the best we’ve ever made! We tapped into an exceptional cow family and have seen the fruits of our investment in her daughters like these selling.

The Worldwide x Felecia mating has been one of the most consistent we have produced. Notice the dams of both Worldwide and Felecia 1830 carry the MAV prefix of the Vogel breeding program in Iowa. There’s nothing coincidental here – they are the right kind!

The Worldwide daughter Felecia 2402 is bold in her design, yet extremely attractive and feminine. She is ready to hit the ring and will definitely take you on the chase for banners.

When full brothers MAV Charisma and MAV Bayou were young sires, we had a choice of semen from one of the two. We chose Bayou and, although Charisma took off in popularity, Bayou’s daughter Viki 225 (granddam of Lot 64) had all the right stuff for sure. We sold all her calves easily and kept her Wingman daughter for our own herd. (Wingman is the full brother to Aviator, and you know we like Aviator daughters. Everyone does!)

Lots 65 and 65A sell as a Cow/Calf Pair

Elsie’s Jade 2115 is a powerful, broody, deep red cow. She was created from an embryo we purchased from Bollum Family Shorthorns years back, which resulted in her dam. Elsie’s Jade 262 retained a great udder and was trouble-free her entire life.

Like her dam, 2115 has been easy to work with and we have confidence she will be an asset to any herd. She’s carrying the service of Show Bull of the Year Currency and we envision superb results from this mating. Lot 65A, the eye catching roan 1872 daughter, is well-balanced and matches from end to end. She blends smoothly with great extension to head and neck. Fireball in the mix along with a feminine, sound structure, and a sweet nature gives this young heifer a future in your show pen or herd.

This three-and-a-half-year-old Fireball daughter with her late April Eighteen Seventy Two heifer calf at side will be a WINNING INVESTMENT for a herd that’s moving forward!

EIGHTEEN SEVENTY TWO Sire of Lots 63A, 64A and 65A

BRED COW 66

Maternal Sister to Lot 67 Maternal Sister to Lot 66

This good two-year-old stems from the Leveldale breeding program and she is one impressive cow! We sold a Fireball x Victoria sister a couple of years ago to Cody Quam in Wisconsin, and she’s now a donor for his elite program. The Lookout calf that Lot 66 is carrying is going to be exciting!

OPEN HEIFER

• Retaining one successful flush at seller’s expense and buyer’s convenience.

• Donor Dam Qualified.

Wow! This December heifer is a TANK. Tribute on Evolution x Victoria’s Secret hit a home run. Easy-fleshing, thick and deep, Victoria Secret 2391 will make a super donor.

TRIBUTE FB 6023J

• Offered by Little Cedar Cattle Co., Beaverton MI

• Retaining one successful flush at seller’s expense and buyer’s convenience.

• Donor Dam Qualified.

Picture Perfect 2423 is of my favorites in the offering. Her dam has produced three NJSS division winners for Teagan Ritchie. She is a full sister to Trivia, sold to Spartan Valley and Kohlstaedt last year. Two maternal sisters that sold in The Revival brought $28,000 and $35,000. Worldwide is her maternal brother.

When I mated Cowboy Up to Picture Perfect it was with the intent of building a great cow prospect. Job well done x 2! The Cowgals may not be as “showy” as some others, but if you envision these two as “beef factories” you’ll see what $$$ looks like! We usually only sell one Picture Perfect daughter, but these two sisters are so unique that I decided to feature both. Teagan will verify that Picture Perfects have great dispositions!

MAV PICTURE

Here’s the Backstory of Lots 70A & 70B

Donor dam of Lots 70A and 70B, Tamale Too 6000D, was twice a national champion at two different breed shows in the summer of 2017: NJSS Grand Champion ShorthornPlus and Chi Junior National 3rd Overall.

When I bought the flush that John Sullivan donated to the 2017 Leading a Legacy fundraiser for the National Junior Shorthorn Show, I never thought that seven years later I’d be offering two SUPER ShorthornPlus females!

Ferrari was our choice for the flush mating because of friend Andy Hamann’s superb full sister, SULL H/F Crystal Judy 1471, 2018 NAILE Supreme Champion, and the elite daughters Ferrari sired in the Sullivan and Schaefer/Tice programs.

Lot 70A, Tamale 2406, has had big fan base among summer visitors to LCCC.

Lot 70B, Tamale 2410, has really come on lately and I’m not sure which one is better!

I do know both will compete on the national level. Come take a look for yourself – they are worth the trip!
