Out of This World Junior National

As most of you know the 2022 National Junior Shorthorn Show & Youth Conference is right around the corner! The Junior Board could not be more excited to see you all in Kansas City, Missouri, this summer for a week that will be “Out of this World!”

The National Junior Shorthorn Show has been voted most enjoyable junior nationals for two consecutive years by the rest of the industry and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing families that participate each year!

The entry deadline is May 1st, and the late entry deadline is May 15th. I would like to remind everyone that for cow/ calf pairs to be shown at the NJSS, the calf must be registered before May 1st as well. We had a record number of entries last year at the 2021 NJSS and we would love to repeat the same success this year! If you have any questions regarding entries, please don’t hesitate to contact the ASA office, Shelby or any junior board member.

For the exhibitors that are participating in online projects this year the entry deadline is May 15th. So you must submit your photography, graphic design and career development to contests@shorthorn.org by the deadline. Please don’t forget that you must sign up for the showmanship contest online this year when you turn in your entries as well.

For those exhibitors interested in running for the National Junior Shorthorn Board of Directors please contact any of us on the board if you would like more information. Applications are open under the Junior Board tab at juniorshorthorn.org. Running for the board was one of the best experiences of my life and I had so much fun learning how things work behind the scenes so don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and come join our team. Applications for the junior board are due April 10.
