SaleManager a letter from the
Dear Shorthorn Friends; I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the pages of the 2015 Fall Harvest Production Sale Catalog. This is our third edition of the Fall Harvest Shorthorn Production Sale. It has been a pleasure to work with sale hosts, Bryan & Marti Warner, Warner Ranch, Riverton, Wyoming and Steve & Mollie Supanchick, Supanchick Shorthorns, Hazard, Nebraska along with our important guest consignors. We have learned and grown through the first two sales as we work to offer you a quality, reliable & practical set of Shorthorn & Shorthorn Plus cattle. It is our goal to continue to improve our breeding programs to provide genetics that will work for you, our valued customers. As you study this offering, it is a unique blend of Western Canadian bloodlines, donor dams from the breed’s most popular, proven lines combined with a practical approach to breeding and developing bred heifers, show and replacement heifer calves. 2014 was a record breaking year for all segments of the beef complex in terms of price levels and profit margins for the cow/calf, feeder & packer operators. It’s the first time in history profitability has existed at the same time for all segments. 2015 and beyond is filled with excitement & opportunity to maintain those margins especially for cow/calf producers. Now’s the time to invest in those superior and proven genetics to insure optimum production & performance in your breeding operation. If I can be of any assistance as you study this information packed sale catalog, please feel free to contact me at any time. Sincerely, Alan Sears Sears Marketing Services

Selling One-Half Embryo Interest. A.I. bred to GNCC Advantage ET on 6/26/15. Pasture exposed to SS Charged Up 002 ET from 7/10/15 to 8/15/15. Cherry has no doubt left her mark in our program! She is easily the stoutest, big boned female we have ever raised. When we sold Cherry as a calf, Mollie was very disappointed to see her go so when we got the opportunity to buy her back we could not pass it up. She is still the only female in any breed to win the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic twice. Cherry’s calves have certainly proven that she is a worthy donor. Her first embryo calf show by Kyndal Reitzenstein was named Champion Prospect Market heifer in Denver and went on to be Supreme Champion Female at the Colorado State Fair. Another Plus heifer out of Cherry was a five time Champion or Reserve Champion in 2015 for Kyle Placke. Another daughter, S/S Cherry 479 ET, brought $5,000 in the 2014 Fall Harvest Sale. She flushes very will averaging in the mid-teens for embryos per flush. Looking forward to her calf by Advantage next spring. I cannot simply put a dollar value on the impact Cherry has made on our program. Here is your chance to move forward. TH-F; PHA-F; DS-F. Consigned by: Supanchick Shorthorns, Hazard, NE

Pasture Exposed to Gana Prime Rib 550B ET from 7/10/15 to 8/18/15. Mystic was purchased from Derek Jungels from his first Durham Nation Sale. We loved her depth of body and structure. Her son, S/S DSSS Platinum 403 ET is certainly proof of that. Every one of her calves have been deep bodied, long sided easy keeping individuals. She is certainly one that should have been flushed more. With the other donors around the farm she did not get the attention she deserved. Just ask Bryan Warner his opinion on her as he purchased the flush on last year’s sale and was very pleased with her flushing ability. Derek called her the best Jazz female ever produced. She still has some good years ahead of her. Longevity, productivity, practicality, this one embodies what we are all after. As many of you know, Emily Cech is fighting serious health issues surrounding brain tumors. Our program would not be where it is today without the hard work and dedication of Emily and her family. Their friendship is what makes raising Shorthorn cattle worthwhile.
