Description The 4420 is a full featured broadcast quality 270Mb/s SDI to composite analogue converter. It is housed in an extremely compact and rugged aluminium case ideally suited to both studio and portable applications. The analogue output is configurable to four different types of PAL and NTSC via switches on the end of the unit. These switches also control the output of two built in test patterns and the control of vertical blanking information.

Description The 4464A SDI to analogue composite video & audio DAC extracts two balanced stereo audio pairs from any group in the ancillary data space of a 270Mb/s SDI signal and provides broadcast quality composite video and analogue audio outputs. Analogue audio outputs are converted by a 24 bit DAC (sampled at 20 or 24 bits dependant on embedded audio format). De-embedding conforms to SMPTE 272M and allows audio to be extracted from any of the four groups. Composite video is converted using a 10-bit DAC with 4x over-sampling. Anti-aliasing filters and precision DC restoration provide the kind of conversion previously only available in rack mount systems. The unit is housed in an extremely compact and rugged aluminium case and is suitable for both field and studio applications.

Description The 4430 is a broadcast quality composite analogue to SDI converter. It uses a 10 bit 2x over sampling ADC with four line adaptive comb filtering. It is housed in an extremely compact and rugged aluminium case ideally suited to both studio and portable applications. The unit accepts and automatically selects between different types PAL, NTSC and SECAM composite inputs. Input quality is automatically detected between VCR / CCTV and broadcast sources.

Description The 4463 composite analogue to SDI analogue audio embedder is a complete digital embedding solution for users wishing to use their existing analogue audio and video equipment. Two balanced stereo audio pairs can be embedded into the ancillary data space of a 270Mb/s output SDI stream. The broadcast quality composite video to SDI conversion uses two 11 bit ADCs with x4 oversampling and with five line adaptive comb filtering. A jitter filter and digital time base corrector compensate for unstable input signals. The analogue audio input is sampled at 24 bits and can be embedded as 20 or 24 bit audio. Description

The 4461DU+ SDI unbalanced AES-EBU audio embedder with sample rate converter inserts two unbalanced stereo AES-EBU streams into the ancillary data space of a 270Mb/s SDI signal. The input stream can be embedded as 20 or 24 bit audio. Internal audio sample rate converters allow the applied audio to be of any sample rate between 32 and 96kHz. The sample rate conversion maybe bypassed to allow for non-PCM audio streams. Embedding conforms to SMPTE 272M and allows audio to be inserted into any of the four groups. Installation and operation The unit is simple to use and install. • Connect balanced input to a 9 way D type plug (not supplied) per the table on the rear of the unit (and as detailed in the next section). • Connect balanced outputs to a 9 way D type plug (not supplied) per the table on the rear of the unit (and as detailed in the next section). • Plug the D type into the socket on the unit and secure. • Connect the unbalanced output to the BNC socket detailed on the front of the unit (if required). • Apply power to the unit either via the locking power connector from the external power supply or 1U rack frame, or by sliding into the 2U rack mounting frame with central power supplies. • The LED then shows green when the AES is locked or red if outof-lock. • The mounting bracket supplied can be used to install the unit. The bracket should first be fixed vertically to any surface. The MiniBlox can then be lowered onto the dovetail part of the bracket with the front endplate uppermost to retain it. -2-

Warranty DTL Broadcast Ltd warrants this unit against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of shipment. At its option, the company will repair or replace products that prove to be defective during the warranty period, provided they are returned to the company with advance notification and with freight prepaid. Repairs may only be conducted by an authorised representative of the company. As a result any unauthorised repair or attempted repair will automatically void the warranty. When a distributor supplies the company's products, that distributor should be approached initially if there are any warranty problems. DTL MiniBlox™ 4020 2U rack mounting frame

Description Frame for mounting up to 14 MiniBlox units in a 19” rack within 2RU of rack space. MiniBlox units slide into guides & mate with power connectors that are bussed to the central power supply. The frame requires one or two 4021 central power supplies which are fitted from the rear of the frame. LEDs on front panel show power supply status. Power supplies accept 100-240VAC at 47-63Hz and have IEC320 C14 mains inlets for worldwide operation. They comply with all major international standards including CE and UL.
