Description The FB-9E Ether-Box is eyeheight’s new broadcast quality 1U chassis. This has ethernet interfacing using standard RJ-45 so that the control, monitoring and logo downloads can be proformed. Up to six product cards can fit in the FB-9E and there is the option of redundant power supply.

Main Features The eyeheight FB-9E is our next generation 1RU Chassis with the following features:Holds 6 single or 3 double height modules in a 1RU space. Double and single modules can be mixed. (e.g. one double height with four single height is allowed,etc.) Modules are “hot swap” with access from the rear of the unit. True redundant power supplies are optional. These have independent mains inlets and are “hot swap”. Wide voltage input range, 100-250V, AC 14 general purpose I/O that can be configured as 14 GPI's or 10 GPI's and 4 tallies. RS232/422 inteligent interface built in using optional AI-7 software with Master Control (presTX) and geNETics automation protocols. Ethernet port with SNMP protocol and browser ability. ID-bus replaces I-Bus and D-Bus with RJ45 standard cabling. Temperature and PSU voltage monitoring. Chassis can be fitted with a blank front or an FP-9, Flexi-Panel generic control panel. Technical Specification

The FP-9 FlexiPanel is a 1RU generic control panel suitable for the geNETics, eyeSight and PresTX range of products. The FP-9 is not suitable for the Playout and Iris Master control/vision mixers as a master panel, but can be used as a maintenance panel in these products. The panel can be powered from the I-Bus port or from a user supplied PSU mounted locally to the panel (7-->13V 0.5 Amp). The Flexipanel can access any products on the user’s I-Bus network (Up to 250 products). Eight handy “Device” buttons provide quick access to up to 8 products.

Description This AR-2M is an extremely cost-effective, high quality, aspect ratio converter for use in broadcast applications. The AR-2M multi-definition Aspect Ratio Converter card incorporates HD/SD auto-sensing and implements 3 field temporal processing. It features high quality and optimised bi-directionally conversions between different aspect ratios such as 4:3,14:9, 15:9, 16:9, etc, with full 10 bit resolution. It has an integrated variable audio delay for all 16 channels of audio to compensate for picture delay and pictures can be variably blanked on all edges. Horizontal and vertical movement of the converted picture is possible from the front panel or remotely. Up to six AR-2M cards fit in our standard 1U chassis. Description This unit is a comprehensive answer to Video Index (VI) and Wide Screen Signalling (WSS) encoding and decoding. Full functionality of encoding and decoding on ONE card allows more flexibility. All known data formats are supported. Description The CC-2M colour corrector is a primary colour corrector with individual RGB and master controls. The unit will apply RGB gain, lift and gamma correction as well as controls for hue rotation, overall contrast, brightness and saturation. The unit has a preview output with an internal wipe for comparison with the input picture. The unit is available in SD (Standard Definition) and MD (multi-definition). (CC-2S and CC-2M). Control of the CC-2M is either by standard generic eyeheight control panel FP-9 or FP-10, or by a dedicated FP-9C RGB operational panel. This must be specified upon order as the dedicated panel requires a CC-2M processor card and not the standard CC-2MC. For the CC-2M up to 16 colour correctors can be shared using from 1 to 16 panels. For the CC2MC up to 96 CC-2MC units can be shared from 1 to 16 panels.

Description This unit is a simple cost effective colour correction system which will give individual control of R,G and B Gains, Lifts and gamma. The system also inherently legalises the signal enabling the user to make full use of the colour correction without fear of the resulting picture being rejected by Broadcasters. Description The LE-2M will auto detect whether the incoming video is SDI or HD-SDI and switch into the appropriate format. The unit legalises the incoming signal in the colour space that the user selects, RGB, YUV, composite (PAL or NTSC) or RGB and composite combined. The unit also provides luma overshoot and undershoot suppression, gain, lift and hue controls. All common legalisation standards can be corrected. The LE-2M also has an indicate output (IND) which will show the user where, on the picture, any correction of the signal is being carried out. For QA, (Quality Assesment), a timecode logging system is also included with a PC application.

Description This is a dual-link/HD/SD capable RGB & composite legaliser system aimed at post production and QA users. This unit is supplied as a fully operational system controllable using a java "soft" panel which runs on PC and Mac. Description The unit is a quad channel audio mixer on a dual Eurocard and is primarily designed for adding additional AES external audio sources to programs carrying embedded audio. The unit has 2 AES inputs and extracts one group of embedded audio to produce four internal channels of audio. Description The MW-2E card is a compact version of eyeheight's MW-3E Mixer unit. This unit is an A/B mixer capable of mix, wipe and cut transitions as well as "U" and "V" fades. Description This unit is a multi-definition version of the HDTV downstream keyer with background, fill and key inputs. Internally the unit consists of wipe, matte and garbage matte generators, independent main and preview keyers. Auto-senses to all current SD and HD standards that exist on a single cable link up to 1.5Gbits/s. It is also compatible with an FP-9/10 Flexi-Panel system and also from a VP-10 T-Bar module. Description The LI-1M is a dual channel logo inserter. Both channels are fully independent and each can operate in HD or SD modes. Logo capture is performed with eyeheight's ethernet based NetLogo software package. Logos are stored securely in on-board non-volatile Flash memory. Description The MW-3EM is a multi-definition A/B Video and embedded audio mixer. The system is capable of doing transitions between either two SD or two HD sources. The transition types include Mix, Cut, U and V fade, and wipe. Internal Matte and Black sources are also included. The system requires an SD reference or HD reference depending on the mode of operation. The system will also perform audio mixing of all 16 channels of embedded audio. A Dolby-E mode makes the unit capable of switching embedded Dolby-E audio sources (but not mixing) on a channel by channel basis. Automation is achieved by either on board RS232 or via the FB-9E chassis using RS232/422 or ethernet.The MW-3EM is also available without the embedded audio mixing option (MW-3M).

Description

Technical Specification

The VX-5 provides an 8 input x 4 output router for the eyeheight playout system. This provides a PGM and PST bus for the playout master control as well as two spare outputs that can the used to route the mixer sources to other places such as an external DVE.

Associated equipment

The AVX-5 Provides further video expansion to a 12 Input x 4 output router. It also provides a 12 Input x 4 Output AES router which in conjunction with the eyeheight EM-4 (Embedder-de-embedder) will provide seperate AES audio capability.

The data is encoded in a format that will survive standard broadcast compression techniques making it ideal for OB use over satellite links. Applications include packaging of Metadata with video such as camera angles/positions, transmission of sports statistics along with video for remote graphic insertion, signalling for Internet Simulcasting and file transfer. Data is supplied via the RS-232 interface on the module as 9600 baud, 1 stop bit, no parity and requires no additional formatting or protocol.
