SUMMARY

The SL-2150 L-Band fiber optic link is ideal for connecting antennas with control rooms, network operation centers or broadcast head ends. The SL-2150 links offer more than an alternative to coaxial cabling in teleport earth stations.

The SL-2150 has been designed to provide very low carrier-to-noise ratio and extremely linear performance. This means a cost effective technically superior installation for the satellite signal user. MultiDyne systems have been engineered to give industry-leading performance when compared with any other fiber optic link on the market.

Only SL-2150 links have ultra wide dynamic range so that auto gain control is not required to cope with changing signal intensity caused by meteorological conditions.

A range of options to suit a variety of installations is offered, such as 75 Ohm or 50 Ohm impedance with either BNC or F connectors. The standard link utilizes a high performance DFB laser, but for less demanding short haul applications, a lower cost FP laser option is available. For installations where the number of cross site fiber connections is limited, the complete ITU range of CWDM transmitter wavelengths is offered allowing up to 8 channels to be carried on one fiber. Optical connector options include ST, LC, FC, or LC APC.

The SL-2150 is an L-Band RF to optical fiber signal conversion module based in a standard 1/3 of rack enclosure that takes power from either a 12V brick adapter or any source in a range from 9 to 24V DC as could be a battery. 1RU, three unit rack kit also avalable.

INTRODUCTION The EOS-4000 Series of electro-optical routing switchers are a versatile, multipurpose, non-blocking, transparent switch that provides high-speed switching between ports with minimal effect on overall network latency. The EOS-4000 series is capable of switching digital optical signals of up to 4.25Gbps via SFP and up to 10 Gbps via XFP. Fiber Optic transport systems from MultiDyne today support transport rates up to 4.25Gbps. There is an engineering road map for fiber transport systems that will support 10Gbps in the future. The EOS-4000 is scalable in size and scalable in bandwidth to support future 10 Gbps technology in the future.

The EOS-4000 is designed to accept a 4.25 Gbps modular IO interface blades with up to 16 SFP Small Form-Factor Pluggable transceiver modules per blade. Each SFP transceiver module provides the physical ports for one input-output pair. The EOS-4000 supports hot-swappable power supplies, fans and port cards to allow users to quickly replace parts without affecting system investigate performance. The EOS4000 controlling software and non-volatile configuration data resides on the module. FIBER OPTIC VIDEO SWITCHING Today's signal management demands higher bandwidths and longer transport distances. With SDI, HD-SDI, 3G HD-SDI, DVI Single and Dual Link the transport data rates can range from 270 Mbps to 10 Gbps. These high bit rates limit the transport distance to as little as 10 meters in some applications. Fiber optics is the only solutions for high bandwidth, long distance video transport. Once we have all our video signals in the optical domain, optical switching is the next logical step. Signal integrity, security and quality are maintains by remaining in the optical domain. Electrical routing switcher for high bandwidth signals, such as DVI Dual Link, do not exist on the market in any scalable size.

The HD-3500 provides a multi-rate high definition fiber optic transport link for up to 1080p 3G HD-SDI. The system also supports 2 channels of outbound digital AES Audio or 4 analog audio channels with 2 bidirectional auxiliary audio channels for 4 wire intercom. A separate 2 wire to 4 wire intercom bridge may be required. The HD-3500 also supports 2 bidirectional RS-232 or RS 422 data channels as well as 4 GPI and 1 tally. The HD-3500 is ideal for broadcast facility for moving high definition video as well as analog or digital audio intercom GPI and tally. The data and GPI channels can be used to control equipment in remote locations. The tally relay can be used to control a camera tally lights or the tally relay can be used for other types of control. The HD-3500 can also be used for remote camera control in the studio or for high definition surveillance cameras outdoors. The system is in use by NASA to broadcast space shuttle launches in high definition video where the data channels are used for pan tilt and zoom or PTZ control.

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems introduces the HDMI–ONE, a low–cost HDMI and DVI fiber link with HDCP copyright protection support. Designed to extend HDMI and DVI distance limitations, this cost–effective solution is the first to offer users bi–directional communication over ONE fiber for full HDCP copyright and EDID functionality. Recognizing the need for high–resolution graphics and video image transfer over long distances, MultiDyne’s HDMI–ONE focuses on maximizing visual quality, with pixel–for–pixel image transport and a 100 percent 24–bit scan rate and no contouring or bit reduction. The fully un–compressed HDMI or DVI–D signal is transported over ONE fiber supporting WUXGA up to 1920x1200 and is 100 percent transparent with no frame dropping. MultiDyne’s HDMI–ONE also responds to market demand for a locking HDMI–connector, seamlessly transporting the HDCP and EDID information along with the HDMI or DVI video signal. DVI signals are supported by the HDMI–ONE with the use of a hybrid cable adapter. When the HDMI–ONE is used to transport DVI signals, the HDCP and EDID information is transported seamlessly from the monitor to the video source despite the use of hybrid adapter cables. The product also allows transmissions of up to 1000 meters over multi–mode fiber and ensures that the HDCP encoding remains intact and unmodified throughout the entire process. This new offering targeted at HDMI users is compatible with all HDMI compliant sources and monitors, while continuing to maintain the original electrical HDMI signal. Designed to support all possible horizontal and vertical sync configurations, it also includes built–in security features for secure video and audio communications in command and control facilities. The lack of EMI characteristics also makes the HDMI–ONE ideal for medical instruments and airborne applications. The HDMI–ONE includes external power supplies and a USB power port. Alternatively, a free USB port can be used from the video source to power the HDMI–ONE transmitter and a USB port on the monitor can power the HDMI–ONE receiver, eliminating the need for two external power supplies. MultiDyne’s new HDMI and DVI fiber link can be configured for a wide variety of applications including medical and MRI displays, advertising and signage, sporting and concert video displays, video walls, digital cinema, radar displays, air traffic control, military information and displays as well as in the commodity and stock exchanges.

MultiDyne M-LINK™ FLEXIBLE INTER-CONNECT SYSTEM Perhaps the most innovative fiber optic and electrical inter-connect solution to come along in years, MultiDyne has introduces the M-LINK™ connector family, the ultimate configurable fiber optic or hybrid (combination fiber optic and electrical) inter-connect solution to meet the majority of commercial, industrial and military application needs. This Patented (pending) connector platform starts with configurable pin or socket insert caps which can be added to either plug or receptacle. A series of modules are then provisioned into either male or female cavities to form an active channel for fiber pins, fiber optic sockets, electrical pins, electrical sockets or dummy modules to seal un-wanted cavities. Combined with M-LINK™ hybrid cable or fiber optic cable style back shells, the M-LINK™ system can also accommodate any configuration up to 32 channels, with any combination of fiber optic or #16 AWG electrical contacts.
