PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD1 is a bi-directional audio interface providing the conversion of a stereo balanced signal to an unbalanced signal, and vice versa. POD1 allows the use of low cost consumer grade record/playback equipment in a professional environment through impedance matching and level control. Front panel trim controls lets the user match record and playback levels of consumer equipment to professional standards. Connections on the rear panel are female and male XLR3 type for the balanced inputs and outputs and RCA phono jacks for the unbalanced inputs and outputs.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The POD2 is a unity gain six by one stereo audio switcher. POD2 operates either as a one of six switcher or in the SUM mode as a selective multi input mixer. POD2 may be used in conjunction with a POD9 as an audio follow video switcher. When PODs 2 and 9 are in the audio follow video mode, any switch activated on the POD2 will result in the same switch occurring on the POD9 and vice versa. POD2 may also be remotely controlled through its RS422 serial interface port.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD3A is an analog stereo audio loudness meter. A 41 segment stereo bar graph meter displays both VU and Peak Program information simultaneously. The unit may be set to display “sticky” peak LEDs to indicate the last highest peak reached by a signal. A seven segment phase correlation meter is included.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD4 is a dual low noise microphone preamplifier. The two preamplifiers each provide both a direct and a switched output. A sum or mixed output derived from the switched preamplifier outputs is also provided. POD4 can provide phantom power for condenser microphones. Each preamplifier channel has a peak indicator that illuminates 4 dB before clipping. External mute controls are provided.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD6 is a miniature stereo power amplifier on a printed circuit board. Powered from an external +24 Volt source, the unit is designed to drive a headset or small high efficiency speakers. The compact size of POD6 makes it ideal for integration into third party equipment such as studio panels, consoles, etc. POD6 is equipped with a standard 1/4� TRS jack which may be used to mount the assembly to a metal plate. PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD7 is a control interface module designed for use where isolation is required between console logic level outputs and the controls of external devices, such as CD players, ON AIR lights, etc. The unit provides eight inputs (logic level or opto-couple) which can be mapped to ten open collector outputs and/or four form C relays. POD7 also includes a small, switchable amplifier capable of driving a 2W, 8 Ohm speaker. Logic inputs require a closure to ground, while opto-coupled inputs require a properly polarized voltage ranging from 3 to 28 Volts. Factory options for POD7 include custom mapping of input control to outputs and RS422/485 serial control.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD9 is a six by one video selector. POD9 may be used in conjunction with an analog audio switcher (POD2), or a digital audio switcher (POD10) for audio follow video applications. When slave mode is engaged, any channel selection on the video switcher will result in the same selection on the audio switcher and vice versa. The video switching on POD9 occurs in the vertical interval. If the currently selected input does not have valid sync, POD9 will switch randomly. POD9 may also be controlled remotely using its RS422 serial interface.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD10 is a six by one interlocking AES digital audio switcher available in either 75 or 110 Ohm versions. The unit provides two outputs. POD10 may be used in conjunction with POD9 or POD21 as an audio follow video switcher. POD10 may also be controlled remotely using its RS422 serial interface. POD10 may be ordered for 75 Ohm unbalanced or 110 Ohm balanced installations. 75 Ohm terminates on BNC connections. 110Ohm terminates on phoenix connections.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD12 is a six output AES/EBU digital audio distribution amplifier. The unit may be ordered to handle 75 Ohm or 110 Ohm AES signals. It features cable equalization and reclocking techniques that enable the unit to reliably recover the incoming digital audio signal. A convenient seventh output on a 1⁄4” jack on the front panel may be used to monitor the signal using a WBS Audio Bit Buddy™ or POD11A, or to route the signal to another destination. POD12 may be ordered for 75 Ohm unbalanced or 110 Ohm balanced installations. 75 Ohm terminates on BNC connectors. 110 Ohm terminates on Phoenix connectors.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW POD27 is a multiplexer designed to embed one group (two stereo channels) of AES audio into a SMPTE 272M serial digital video signal. The unit is equipped with an adaptive equalizer that may be activated to ensure proper reception of signals transmitted over long cable runs. It will accept either 75 Ohm unbalanced or 110 Ohm balanced AES signals for multiplexing All AES signals are sample rate converted to 48kHz before being embedded. Non audio data signals such as Dolby (AC3 or E) will not be sample rate converted prior to embedding.POD27 generates and embeds its own EDH packets. Two video outputs with embedded audio are provided by POD27.

This DARS reference signal can be synchronized to an external Video or AES reference or it can be synched to an internally generated 96 kHz or 48 kHz reference. POD33 is designed to selectively provide a 100 Hz, 400 Hz or 1 kHz tone at amplitudes ranging from Digital Silence through -60 dBFS to 0 dBFS. POD33 has four independent digital outputs. PRODUCT OVERVIEW The MF100 frame delivers modular solutions for the distribution, conversion and processing of digital and analog audio and video signals. It occupies two vertical units of rack mount space and houses ten Serialboxx cards, in any combination, and two power supply units.

Power supply redundancy in the MF100 frame is carried through from the primary mains to the two separate switch mode power supplies. Two separately fused IEC AC power connectors and molded power cords are provided. The switch mode supplies will operate with 115 V/60 Hz or 230 V/50 Hz AC mains without any special setup.

BNC connectors on the rear panel serve to connect video and unbalanced AES signals to the frame. TB101, TB102 and TB103 Phoenix screw terminal assemblies are available for balanced AES and analog audio signals. These mount in the position directly behind the slot that the card is plugged into. The MF100 is equipped with nine (9) BNC connectors for each card slot. Headers on the back plane board facilitate installation of the TB101, TB102 and TB103 assemblies.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The AA101A card is a universal audio distribution amplifier designed to provide mono and stereo signal distribution. It is capable of summing (mixing) two input signals and providing multiple copies of the summed signal for distribution. The AA101A comprises two discrete low noise analog audio amplifiers. Each amplifier section is equipped with a multi-turn potentiometer that provides continuously variable gain adjustment over a range from -15dB to +15dB. Operating modes (mono/stereo/mixing) of the AA101A are configurable using onboard jumpers. PRODUCT OVERVIEW The AA103A module provides a 400 or 1000Hz reference tone for alignment and test purposes within an audio system. The AA103A reference tones are factory calibrated. PRODUCT OVERVIEW The DA301A card is a digital audio distribution amplifier providing both AES digital and analog audio outputs.The DA301A has a built in DAC which uses 24-bit conversion technology. With a TB102 termination assembly installed, the DA301A provides four 75 Ohm AES outputs and two stereo analog outputs.

75 Ohm AES input and output signal connections are made via 75 Ohm BNC connectors.

The DA301A is equipped with input cable equalization circuitry that may be activated by a push button switch. PRODUCT OVERVIEW The DA302A DARS Generator card is used to generate digital audio reference signals. This unit offers two copies of three independent outputs. Outputs one and two may be programmed to provide tone or digital silence while the signal on output three is a word clock. The DA302A can provide signal levels of 0, -12, -14, -16, -18, -20, or -60 dBfs at frequencies of 400 or 1000 Hz.

The DA302A can be installed in any position in the MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx frame. The 75 Ohm AES input and output signal connections are made via 75 Ohm BNC connectors.

The output signals of the DA302A may be synchronized to the internal 48 kHz oscillator, an external AES signal (22 to 96 kHz), or to an external composite video signal. Resolution of the output signal is selectable between 20 or 24 bit. Status LEDs on the front edge of the card indicate whether the card is locked to an external reference signal, its internal 48 kHz oscillator or if there is a signal error.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The DA305A is a low cost multi-function digital audio processing distribution amplifier. The most common use of the DA305A is to adjust the level of the AES audio stream in the digital domain using DSP technology. The DA305A can be configured to operate as a gain trim (-15 to +15dB) or as an audio volume control device (digital silence to +12dB). The DA305A accepts two AES audio inputs with sample rates ranging from 22kHz to 96kHz The second input is typically used as a reference input for the sample rate converter on the main channel. The second input can be connected directly to the termination of the cards, or it can be connected to the internal reference bus of the MF100 frame. Alternatively, the second input can be treated as an audio channel for mix or dual level matching applications. The DA305A has eight output splits which are grouped into two

groups of four (Out1 and Out2). Each output group can be jumpered to deliver different combinations of the input signals including: • Input 1 or 2, stereo • Input 1 or 2, left plus right • Input 1 or 2, left minus right • Input 1 and 2, stereo mix • Internal Test tone • Delayed audio (20 seconds max) Multi-turn potentiometers located on the front edge of the card provide level control of the audio signal(s). Additionally, the DA305A can provide remote gain capabilities allowing audio level control from an external potentiometer or via its RS485 serial port. The programmability of the DSP component on the DA305 card enables various audio related functions to be addressed such as time delay, equalization, automatic gain control, etc.

The SD404B can be installed in any slot in the MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx frame.The TB102 termination assembly mounts on the rear of the MF100 or MF104 frame directly behind the slot where the SD404B is installed.

Input signal connections for the 110 Ohm AES inputs are made via 3-pin Phoenix pluggable screw terminals located on the TB102 termination assembly (included), while the SDI input and output signal connections are made via the 75 Ohm BNC connectors on the MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx rear panel. The SD404B is designed to receive digital video signals transmitted over 75 Ohm coaxial cable). An adaptive cable equalizer provides equalization for high-bit-rate digital data transmitted over a long transmission line.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The SD406A is a versatile digital video distribution amplifier that provides four reclocked serial digital video outputs, as well as four analog video monitor outputs of the input signal. An automatic cable equalizer, at the input, provides reliable reception of high-data-rate (143-360 Mbps) digital signals over cable runs up to 300m long.

The SD406A has status indicators located along the front edge of the amplifier card to signal the presence or lack of a viable serial video signal at the input. The SD406A may be installed in any position in an MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx frame.

By combining signal distribution and SDI 4:2:2 to PAL or NTSC conversion on the same card, the SD406A offers the ideal solution for reducing costs in component serial installations. The analog video outputs allow for full colour monitoring of the serial digital video signal using low cost analog video monitors. Valuable rack space is saved and the additional expense for external (in-line or rackmounted) encoding devices is eliminated.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The SD406B is a “full monitoring” distribution amplifier providing two reclocked serial video outputs, two analog video monitor outputs and the stereo analog audio outputs of the selected embedded group. The SD406B also has an automatic cable equalizer, at the input, which provides reliable reception of high-data-rate (143-360 Mbps) digital signals over cable runs up to 300m long. The multi-function SD406B includes demuxing, stereo analog audio conversion, 4:2:2 to PAL or NTSC conversion and signal distribution on the same card. The combination of these features makes the SD406B the complete, cost effective solution for monitoring the signal components of the serial video signal. Lower cost analog audio and video monitors can be used to listen to and view the serial signal. Using the SD406B saves valuable rack space and eliminates the need for external (in-line or rack mounted) conversion and/or encoding devices.

The SD406B has status indicators located along the front edge of the amplifier card to signal the presence or lack of a viable serial video signal at the input. On the SD406B, an LED signals whether both audio streams within the selected group are present. The SD406B may be field programmed to demux any one of the four embedded audio groups. The SD406B can support 20 or 24 bit audio.The SD406B provides a level trim for in field calibration of the analog audio outputs. The analog audio outputs can be jumpered for stereo or mono. The SD406B can be installed in any position in the MF100 or MF104 Serialboxx frame. The SD406B is supplied with a TB102 termination assembly. The TB102 mounts on the rear panel of the MF100 or MF104 directly behind the slot where the SD406B is installed.

This unit is ideal for any studio or technical environment where digital or analog audio signals are used. For unbalanced 75 Ohm digital audio signals we recommend the use of a Ward-Beck IMP-1M in-line impedance matching converter.

Critical signal parameters such as sampling frequency, emphasis, professional or consumer format and data errors are displayed when monitoring AES/EBU or S/PDIF signals. PRODUCT OVERVIEW The Audio Bit Spitter™ is a companion to the ABB-1 Audio Bit Buddy™. This portable, battery powered unit generates digital and stereo analog audio test signals that may be injected into the signal path when testing device performance or signal path continuity with an Audio Bit Buddy™. The ABS-1 generates an AES/EBU digital audio signal, 1kHz or 400Hz, at the three most commonly used sampling rates of 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz or 32 kHz. The unit may also be synchronized to an external digital reference signal. Digital signal output levels of -20, -12 and 0 dBFS are selectable. Stereo analog tones of 1 kHz or 400 Hz may also be selected at levels of -16, -8 and +4 dBu. To differentiate between the CH A and CH B (left and right) signals, the unit provides the option to cycle and/or invert the CH B (right) signal or to turn it off completely. To test the integrity of a digital receiver the ABS-1 can generate invalid bits in the AES/EBU bit stream.

Powered by four rechargeable AA Nicad cells the ABS-1 is always ready to go. For bench work, the unit may also be powered by an AC adapter. With the AC adapter plugged in, the internal batteries recharge automatically. Balanced, 110 Ohm, AES/EBU connections are made via the appropriate XLR-3 type connectors located on the rear panel. For unbalanced 75 Ohm signals we recommend the use of WBS in-line impedance converters, IMP-1F for the digital output signal and IMP-1M for the external reference input. Balanced, low output impedance, stereo analog audio signals are provided on two tip-ringsleeve jacks.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The RLM12D/RLM24D meter maybe equipped to handle 75 Ohm unbalanced (BNC connectors) or 110 Ohm balanced ( Phoenix 3-pin) AES / EBU digital audio signals. The inputs are located on the rear panel. The RLM12D provides 12 stereo LED bar-graph meters and the RLM24D provides 24 stereo LED bar-graph meters. Each bar-graph meter displays both VU and Peak information simultaneously. Below each meter pair there is an LED illuminated pushbutton switch. If the input signal is lost, the LED in the pushbutton switch illuminates and the internal audible alarm is activated. The audible alarm can be cancelled by pressing the pushbutton. The LED will remain illuminated until the signal is restored. Loss of signal can be due to interruption, extended silence that exceeds a preset time period or a signal that falls below the preset threshold for an extended time period.

The RLM12D/RLM24D meter panels are equipped with a removable power supply. Optionally a second removable power supply, wired in a dual redundant configuration, may be added. The system will operate properly with only one supply. Dual redundancy is extended to the primary A.C. mains. Each power supply has its own IEC, fused power socket and connects via a detachable molded power cord to the A.C. mains. The unit provides GPO that may be connected to an external device to indicate power or signal loss. The unit operates from A.C. mains source from 95 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz and occupies two rack units of standard 19 inch rack space (3.5 inches). Independent adjustment of threshold detection level ranging from 20dB to –70dB for each meter pair is available from an optional central control panel. The allowable duration of silence may also be adjusted over a range from 0 to 240 seconds by the central control panel.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The SLM series loudness meters are portable desktop units that display the average (VU) and peak (PPM) content of an audio signal simultaneously. The meter includes a pair of “sticky” peak LEDs (for each stereo pair) that may be set to display peaks that exceed a preset limit, a phase correlation meter and status LEDs to display lock or error. The SLM meters are available in models that may be used to monitor either analog or AES digital audio signals. The meter packages that are offered includes the SLM1, a stereo meter pair; the SLM2, a dual stereo meter pair and; the SLM4, a quad stereo meter pair. Each stereo pair in the SLM1 and SLM2 has it’s own seven segment LED phase indicator. The SLM4 has an expanded (28 segment) LED phase indicator that may selectively be assigned to any one of the four meter pairs. SLM meters may be ordered as “A” versions for analog audio or “D” versions for AES audio. Balanced (110 Ohm) or unbalanced (75 Ohm) AES digital audio inputs may be specified.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The SLM8 loudness meter is a portable desktop unit that displays the average (VU) and peak (PPM) content of up to eight audio signals simultaneously. Each meter comprises 61 LEDs in a vertical bar-graph arrangement. A status LED associated with each AES input displays “LOCK” when a viable signal is connected. Three other LEDs display the types of signal that are connected, PCM, Dolby E or Dolby D.

The meter can be supplied with balanced, 110 Ohm, inputs on three pin pluggable terminals or unbalanced, 75 Ohm, inputs on BNCs. The unit is equipped with a fused AC disconnect and will operate from mains power that varies from 90 to 230 volts at 50 to 60 Hertz.

The unit may be equipped with the optional Dolby decoder. There are three modes of operation that can be set for the SLM8. The unit must be set to MODE 1 or MODE 3 when the Dolby card is present. In MODE 1 only input 1 is active and the meter is used to decode and display all eight component channels of a Dolby E signal. In MODE 3 inputs 1 and 4 are active. Input 1 would be used for a six channel Dolby (E or Digital) signal and input 4 may be used for a PCM signal. When a Dolby decoder is not installed the unit should be set to MODE 2 and can then be used to meter four PCM streams.

The AMS4 is a versatile one rack unit audio monitor system. It can be used to monitor analog audio, AES digital audio and SDI embedded audio. The SDI demuxer may be added as an option. The AMS4 features an 8 x 1 input switcher (four analog sources, four AES sources) with auto recognition of 75 or 110 Ohm AES signals. A direct, balanced, stereo analog audio output of the switcher is available on the rear panel. A 10 LED stereo VU meter and phase indicator is included. The AMS4 offers full range acoustic monitoring.

The AMS8-1 is a compact 1 R.U. aural and visual monitor designed to handle multi-channel format audio signals. Eight PPM/VU LED bargraphs display signal activity while a sophisticated 4 speaker system allows operators to listen, with great clarity, to the signal being monitored. With the sophisticated signal processing and proprietary algorithms developed for the new AMS8 series of products we are able to address many multi-channel signal requirements. The AMS8-1 can be supplied in a stripped down version or outfitted to deal with the most demanding monitoring scenarios.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The AMS16-2 is a compact 2 R.U. aural and visual monitor designed to handle multi-channel format audio signals. Sixteen PPM/VU LED bargraphs display signal activity while a sophisticated 4 speaker system allows operators to listen, with great clarity, to the signal being monitored. The AMS16-2 accepts two HD/SD SDI signals with embedded audio at its input. A 2 x1 selector allows switching between the two sources and provides two re-timed, re-clocked, copies of the selected input on the rear panel. The selected source is processed to extract the embedded audio streams (up to sixteen channels) which are then displayed on the bright LED VU/PPM bar-graph meters. Front panel controls allows the user to listen to the signals in stereo pairs, as a mix or the signals may be soloed and listened to individually.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The VMS33 offers a compact solution for stereo audio and wide screen (16 x 9) video monitoring, combining the features of three high resolution LCD displays, three 34 segment LED stereo VU/PPM meters and three 5 segment correlation meters in a three rack unit panel. It is the most versatile audio and video monitoring system available in a compact package.

For video only applications, order VMS3. The audio monitoring functions are not included with VMS3.

The VMS33 comes standard with three multi standard video, three stereo analog and three AES inputs. Digital video inputs are available options. Features include sync sensing, auto shut off and manual shut off to prolong LCD life. Picture quality adjustments are readily performed using the supplied remote control.The unique telescoping and tilting front panel affords the user an unobstructed view in virtually any situation. The VMS33 is ideal for equipment rack and operating desk locations.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The VMS44 is a four channel video and audio monitoring system. The two rack-unit package offers four high resolution (600x234 pixel) composite video monitors and four VU-PPM audio meters. The VMS44 is factory configured to accept NTSC composite signals. It may be optionally configured to accept PAL composite signals. The unit requires an AC power source from 90 to 230 volts, 60 or 50 Hz. Quad serial video inputs may be added as an option. PRODUCT OVERVIEW The XTM4 is a versatile test meter for the measurement of analog, AES-3 and SDI embedded audio signals over a wide range. Occupying two rack units of space, the unit is equipped with a high quality stereo VU and PPM moving needle meter pair. All meters are LED illuminated. Front panel controls and a bright dot matrix display allow the user to select between the various signal sources, the mode of operation and the sensitivity of the meter. A bar graph LED phase indicator is included. The rear panel has a stereo analog output of the displayed signal on an XLR(M) connector pair. The analog input pair and AES-3 input pairs are routed through “normalling” telephone jacks located on the front panel. These jacks give rapid access to the XTM4. A stereo headset jack is also provided on the front panel. The base XTM4 comes equipped with analog, AES-3 and AES-3 inputs. SDI and expanded AES ports may be added as an option. The XTM4 is internally powered and will operate with 115/230 Volt, 60/50 Hz AC mains.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The 8200 Series delivers a modular solution for the distribution and conversion of audio and video signals. The two standard frames of this system are the MF-82/10 and the MF-82/12. The MF82 frame occupies two vertical units of rack space. The MF-82/12 can house up to twelve 8200 series cards and two power supplies, while the MF82/10 can house up to ten cards and two power supplies. Headers for each amplifier slot are accessible from the rear of the frame. Terminal interface assemblies for the appropriate amplifier card plug into these headers to provide input and output connections.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The D8206 is an AES reference tone generator which can simultaneously output two independent reference signals (DARS) as well as a word clock signal. The two reference signals can be set independently for tone or digital silence. The D8206 can be locked to an external AES reference (sample rate 32 to 96 kHz) or to a video black signal, as well as, an internal 48 kHz oscillator. The D8206 provides two copies of each of the two DARS as well as word clock output on the termination assembly. The two independent DARS are represented as Output 1 and 2, refer to Terminal Options sheets for the different configurations. The DARS signal outputs consist of a Channel A and B. Each can be set for fixed frequency (400 or 1000 Hz) and one of seven predetermined levels varying from -60 to 0dBFS. The D8206 may also be programmed to provide continuously variable control of the frequency and output level of either channel. In the variable frequency and level mode the two front edge, 10 turn, trim controls are used. The upper trim varies output level while the lower trim varies output frequency.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The D8207 is a 24 bit digital audio sample rate converter with a dynamic range of 120dB. The D8207 accepts AES input signals with sampling rates from 22kHz to 96kHz. Sample rate conversion ratios range from 1:3 to 3:1.This unit may be synchronized to an external AES/EBU or video reference signal (optional). When an AES/EBU reference (22 to 96kHz) is used, the sample rate of the resulting output signal will be the same as the reference signal. When a video reference signal is used, internal jumpers may be set to generate a 44.1kHz or 48kHz digital output signal. If a reference signal is not present, the D8207 will perform as an ordinary digital distribution amplifier and pass the signal through unaltered.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The frame is designed to accept individual rear connector modules that provide the proper I/O requirements of the installed modular card. This feature offers great flexibility allowing the end user to freely mix and match a variety of openGear solutions from analog audio to 3Gb/s HD video within the same mounting frame. Reconfiguring a frame at a later date as needs change is also a breeze. The front door of the frame can be hinged down for easy access to the installed modules. It may also be completely removed, no tools required, to facilitate set up during installation. The front door includes a retaining assembly that holds all installed modules and power supplies firmly in place.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The D6204A is an AES/EBU digital to analog audio converter designed for broadcast use. It provides digital to analog audio conversion along with AES/EBU signal distribution. The D6204A supports audio sampling frequencies from 30kHz to 192 kHz. It converts the incoming AES/EBU digital audio signal to a stereo analog audio signal using 24 bit conversion technology. Cable equalization and reclocking techniques enable the D6204A to recover the incoming digital audio signal reliably. The D6204A is housed in the openGear DFR8300series frames.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The D6207A is a DolbyE/AC3 decoder with SRC designed for broadcast use. It takes a Dolby encoded signal and breaks it down into it’s discrete channels, which are presented at it’s output as AES signal streams. It also extracts the Metadata embedded within the input signal and presents this on the output termination.

The D6207A supports audio sampling frequencies from 32kHz to 48 kHz. The D6207A is housed in the openGear DFR8300 series frames.

Please note the following: The D6207A card accepts any AES signal at it’s input. The signal may be Dolby E or AC3 encoded or PCM. If the signal is Dolby E the card will output the decoded AES pairs as (L,R) (C,LFE) (Ls,Rs) (SAP, if present) (Lo,Ro or Lt,Rt, depending on selection) and Metadata. If the signal is AC3 the card will output the decoded AES pairs as (L,R) (C,LFE) (Ls,Rs) (Lo,Ro or Lt,Rt, depending on selection). AC3 does not contain Metadata. If the input is PCM the D6207A will provide an output on (L,R) and (Lo, Ro/Lt, Rt) as well as on the input loop all other outputs will be muted.

The M6202A will extract embedded audio in accordance with SMPTE 272M & SMPTE 299M standards. If the M6202AE is used as a demuxer only it can extract up to two groups an SD SDI or HD SDI signal. When the M6202AE is used as a Dolby decoder it becomes a one group demuxer.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW The M6205A is a single card openGear solution to correct level errors, shuffle channels or replace incorrect or corrupt audio tracks embedded in HD or SD SDI signal streams. The audio processing is performed in a high performance 32 bit, floating point, DSP for precision control of all audio levels. The card fits into a standard DFR8320 frame. The M6205A accepts either an HD or SD serial digital video signal at it’s input. The signal is equalized and passed along to a demuxer. In the demuxer stage the embedded AES audio is extracted from the digital video stream. A total of eight (8) AES signals can be extracted as per SMPTE specs 272M and 299M.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW M6206A is a multi-definition SD/HD SDI audio demultiplexer with the capability of adding voice-over audio to embedded Dolby signals. It accepts one SD/HD SDI input and provides a re-clocked copy of this signal on the rear termination assembly. The four demuxed AES outputs also appear on the rear termination assembly as 75 Ohm unbalanced signals. All SDI and AES signals are on BNC type connectors. The GPI/O connections are provided on two three-pin Phoenix™ pluggable connectors on the rear termination assembly (+ is GPI, - is GPO, G is GND). Proprietary Dolby metadata is provided as a serial stream on a third pluggable three-pin connector on the rear panel termination assembly. The M6206A can extract up to two groups of AES digital audio (four AES signals) simultaneously from the MD-SDI signal connected to its input.
