WHAT’S THE OBJECTIVE? The project objective is to create two components that will be for seventh grade students and teachers in the Chatham County Public School System and for students. Each of these components utilizes the Georgia Standards of Learning for the areas of Art, History, Music, and Mathematics.

WHAT’S THE PROJECT CONCEPT? To educate and engage students, as well as provide aid for teachers to introduce activities and projects that are related to the Savannah African Art Museum and each area based on the Georgia Standards of Learning.

WHO IS OUR TARGET AUDIENCE? Students (age from 11-14) and teachers (age from 23 +) in Savannah, GA Included are two user personas.

HOW DID WE DEVELOP THE PROJECT? 1. Emailing teachers in the public schools’ system 2. Visiting the museum and taking a docent tour 3. Receiving the Docent Guide for background information 4. Receiving the branding guidelines from the Director

HOW MUCH WOULD THIS COST? Student and teacher booklet (5.5” x 8.5”) are printed double sided, full color, and have the same amount of pages (20). We included a chart of how much it would cost to print at Office Depot/OfficeMax at different quantities. Playing cards could range from either $10-$30.

WHAT PROGRAMS OR MATERIALS WERE USED? We used G-Suite to collaborate on the project, and Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop to create the deliverables. Activities materials needed: [playing cards] Card stock, Wood tiles, Modge Podge, [making instruments] cardboard boxes, plastic string, paper, rubber bands, wooden sticks, [art] materials that are in the classroom, either beads or shells
