It is our desire to glorify God as a community of Christ followers who love God, love people, and make disciples because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus or have questions about your faith, please feel free to speak with Pastor Cliff, Pastor Phil or one of the Elders.

Place your donation in a "flower envelope" found in the Narthex, then put it in the offering plate or bring/ send it to the church no later than December 10th. A listing of those remembered and by whom will be included in the church bulletin. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Kelly.

Media Requests Please contact our Media Ministry Leader, Steve Blais, (egccmedia@gmail.com) if you have any special media requests.

Candlelight Service

The excited exuberance of children, the soft glow of candlelight, and melodic voices raised in the melodies of beloved Christmas carols is just part of the treasured tradition of our Christmas Eve service at East Glenville. The Word become flesh retold through Scripture and song is the setting of one of the most beautiful worship services of the year. On Monday evening, December 24, at 6:30pm, we will once again celebrate the most wonderful gift ever given to man, the birth of our Savior. Plan now to make this service a special part of your Christmas tradition. Invite family members, friends, and/or neighbors to come and celebrate Jesus’ birth and experience the wonder.

CITY MISSION-TOY STORE COLLECTION Each year, for 3 days in December, The Schenectady City Mission transforms itself into an amazing toy store. This is the place local families can come and Celebrate the Christmas season by selecting toys (free of charge) for their children. This year, our church family would like to participate by focusing on a toy collection for the teen boys and girls up to age 14. Items such as hair products, nail polish, fashion scarves, headphones, fashion bags, sports caps, footballs, basketballs, bath products, body spray etc. are welcomed. Be creative! Bring your items to the Giving Chest located in the Hall of Missions no later than Sunday Dec. 16th and help us be a blessing to our community!

Please remember to continue to pray for our Pastoral Search Committee

Update:

The search committee is now working on compiling and reviewing survey results, creating church, community and historical profiles and exploring procedures we will use for connecting with pastoral candidates. We thank the congregation for your ongoing prayer support.

Do you like to work with children? Do you want to be a part of teaching them about Jesus and His love for them? Are you a member of EGCC? We are looking for Junior Church teachers starting in the spring. The children are in two classes: 4 years old - 1st graders and 2nd -4th graders. The classes meet during the second half of the Sunday Worship Service. We would provide you with curriculum which includes activities as well as a Bible lesson. There is a rotating schedule, on which you would teach once every 5-6 weeks. This is a great way to serve our families at EGCC. It’s exciting to see children's enthusiasm and wonder as they learn about the God who loves them in an interactive setting. If you are interested in volunteering and/or have questions about this opportunity, please contact Susan Perregaux at 3847296.

Come and pray for our church and its leaders. We will meet in rooms 5 & 6 on the 2nd & 3rd Tuesdays of each month and pray for our church and its leaders while the Boards and Elders have their meetings.
