The artworks in this catalogue are in no way an exhaustive list, but should be viewed as examples of the complete ouvre. Pricing is consistent throughout using a “by-linear-foot-or –part-thereof” equation with 1 foot (12 inches) / £20 being the base unit.

Steve’s studio is currently housed in unit 32 of the Sparkenhoe Business Centre, Hinckley. He has had work displayed in Spain and Sweden as well as, of course, the UK where he exhibits as part of the KLA group, in open exhibitions, and solo exhibitions.

His ouvre displays a flexible approach to both style and subject, reflecting his versatility; something that is becoming evident in his sartorial choices too. This variance in traditional clothing sneaks into his paintings now and then but doesn’t overwhelm. His themes are contemporary takes on religion, the spirit/soul and general thoughts on creation and evolution, portraiture (including alternative self-portraits, the nude and abstraction. He feels though that all categories of his work could easily sit together as it all becomes a general one-ness. Separating works into groupings is, he believes, a complicated and possibly selfdefeating exercise in his own case. Having said that there are abbreviations on each page to indicate which group or groups a painting was intended for or can slip easily into.

Steve gained his Honours Degree in Fine Art from DeMontfort University, Leicester, in 2008, having studied as a mature student.

In 2013 one of his paintings/collages was awarded first prize in the Windows-On invitation exhibition, Leicester.

This kilt is a generic tartan called Pride of Scotland. He also currently owns a Royal Stewart tartan kilt. He is NOT Scottish. Although he does have Welsh celtic roots with his great great grandfather being a thrice crowned, once chaired, Bard known as Llew Llwyffo and who was described by a journalist in BBC Cymru as “possibly the most famous Welshman of the 19th century”, which is something to aspire to.
