the ubiquitous artist statement “ It's all a journey. Art is my vehicle. It enables me to consider matters in my life, such as gender and how it is, or isn't, represented by colours and clothing and jobs, and of Life itself; the start, the religion, the spirit and the spiritual, the end (if it does). My art is where I express and discover myself, always pushing my perceived boundaries and limitations unhindered by the need for consistency of style. In fact I am consistently inconsistent, moving from self portraits painted with rags rather than brushes, to mixing up mediums, from the figure to the abstract. It is all, for me, an exciting voyage of discovery. Basically, my work is about; Truth & Other Myths and this is the title of any solo exhibitions I may have, in the past, the present and the future and, who knows, in any alternate universe I may also exist in.
