Letter from the President Dear Friends of St. Francis Catholic High School, It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Eighth Annual Revelry Auction, Bella Notte in Rome, an evening to support and further the mission of St. Francis Catholic High School. The efforts of all those who have prepared for this evening contribute significantly to the stewardship of our young Troubadours. Our graduates embody the values and characteristics of our patron St. Francis of Assisi and our pillars of faith, excellence, leadership and service. This evening is the culmination of a year long effort by our hardworking Revelry Committee and the leadership of our magnificent chair, Celestine Syphax. Celes has poured incredible time, creativity and passion into this year’s event. You are witness to the transformation of the campus into an elegant evening in Rome; she has graced us immensely with not just her time, but her incredible talent and vision. We extend a very special thank you to our Revelry Sponsors, especially our Presenting Sponsors Sandra Geary Cook ’54 and John Cook (Cathleen ’79 and Laurie ’81), as well as Hanson McClain Advisors, Kathy and Pat McClain (Colleen ’15) for their continued commitment to the mission of St. Francis Catholic High School. We work diligently to ensure that we are providing a campus for these young women to thrive, be challenged and find a sense of community in their education and faith journey. The introduction of the iPad one-to-one program this year began with “Hands Up for Troubies” in 2011. This year we ask you to raise your paddle to “Outfit the New Dining Hall.” Construction will begin in early November with completion in summer 2014. The Dining Hall has been designed to provide a vibrant and energetic space for students gathering together as a community, breaking bread for nourishment, as well as social activities. On behalf of the young women who benefit from your generosity, I offer my sincere gratitude. You help provide them with the life-changing St. Francis experience, offering opportunities to know God, appreciate their unique gifts and talents, understand their responsibility in the world of service to others and develop the confidence to take on any challenge in the future. Enjoy an incredible evening transported to the Eternal City, created to touch the senses, experience and celebrate community and be inspired by the hope and knowledge that your support helps “St. Francis graduate young women who change the world!”

In the Spirit of Pax et Bonum,

Margo Reid Brown ’81 President

Letter from the Chair Dear Revelry Friends and Supporters, Welcome to Bella Notte in Rome! As we gather this evening to celebrate the special community we share at St. Francis, I am deeply grateful for the many volunteers and sponsors that support and nurture our daughters in their journey of spiritual and academic growth through faith, service, and learning enrichment. As the Chair of Revelry 2013, I have come to realize that Revelry is much more than an event; it is an opportunity for us to model through participation--the same four pillars of Faith, Leaderhsip, Service, and Excellence that the young women at St. Francis learn during their four years. It is a testament to the Pax et Bonum spirit shared by both parents and students. Words alone cannot express my gratitude to all who have made this evening a success. I would like to give special thanks to our “Sistine Chapel” sponsors Hanson McClain Advisors (Kathy and Pat McClain) and Sandra and John Cook, who have so generously returned as our presenting sponsors for Revelry 2013. Sincerest thanks to all of our new sponsors and to the many returning sponsors who have continued their support over the years. For all of the volunteers who have spent countless hours and worked well beyond the minimum parent hour requirement, you have my heartfelt thanks! It has been a busy and wonderful time planning and working with everyone. Bella Notte in Rome is the success of many who have worked, donated, hosted, volunteered, and persevered to make this a magical evening! As we gather to enjoy a Bella Notte in Rome, we are supporting the future of our extraordinary daughters. When I reflect on how much our wonderful community has contributed to Revelry with gifts of time, talent and treasure, I am reminded of the words of St. Francis of Assisi “Remember that when you leave this earth you can take with you nothing that you have received - only what you have given.” Thank you for all that you give to our incredible school and for sharing your gifts in making this evening an overwhelming success! God bless you!

Many thanks and blessings,

Celestine Syphax 2013 Revelry Chair

29) HANDS UP FOR TROUBIE - OUTFIT THE DINING HALL The Objective: In August 2014, we will unveil the newly constructed dining hall in lower Serra Court. This stateof-the-art facility will replace our aging cafeteria, which has been in steady use since 1964. The newly designed dining hall will provide a striking and energetic space where our Troubies will break bread with each other and our community will gather. Students will enjoy an open flow from the dining hall onto lower Serra Court which will also enhance large school events, such as Revelry. The design includes a dedicated snack bar for use during sporting events in the gym and a faculty area which can also be utilized by parent service organizations for meetings. The aesthetic will be deliberately youthful and vibrant - just like our Troubadours. The Need: In order to meet the current and future needs of our students, we need $85,000 to outfit the dining hall with tables and chairs for more than 400 students. The facility will also need iPad compatible audio-visual systems to be used for student and/or parent gatherings. While costs may exceed $85,000, we are asking you to collectively raise this amount tonight. Your “hand-up” will fill an urgent and important need that will be used now and into the future.

35) MadoroM - 18 Liter Bottle of Napa Valley Cab 2009! Cheers! This statement making bottle of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is perfect for a Christmas party or gathering of important clients! MadoroM’s motto regarding wine making: In vino veritas - “There is truth in wine.” Winemaker’s Tasting Notes: Red edges fade to dark purple core. Toasted vanilla is pushed out by the bright red fruit notes. Additional time in the glass provides more dimensions and an invitation to taste. Fruit infused mocha starts to fill your palate upon initial examination. The depth of the wine unfolds more flavors of blackberry, darker spices such as nutmeg and five star anise. Weighty, the wine’s body coats smoothly and gives a lingering finish. There is just enough tannin and acidity to provide structure and a framework to hold the flavors. Additional cellaring will reward the patient collector. Technical Notes: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot from Napa Valley. Aged 36 months in 65% French Oak barrels and 35% American Oak barrels Bottled November, 2012, 14.8% Alcohol
