Indeed Domain

Austin, TX // 309,883 sf

STG Design’s fourth project for Indeed is for their engineering offices located in Domain Tower. Indeed wanted a highly connected space to provide an interactive environment for their employees that reflects the company’s energetic attitude on a global scale. The original design called for Indeed to take over eleven separate floors with only elevator banks and fire stairs, providing a connection between these spaces. The client tasked STG Design with creating a focal-point staircase to interconnect break rooms and other high-activity spaces on seven of the eleven levels. The unique design solution allows employees to move between each of these floors, with dynamic neighborhoods of individual and community zones creating opportunities for interactive experiences. By combining local raw materials, vibrant brand colors, and technology, continuous lines are created that connect people and encourage collaboration. Amenities include an airstream trailer as meeting space, sushi bar, baristas and cafÊ, and an auditorium and fitness center.

3M

Austin, TX // 204,000 sf

Based on a community-centric design created to provide diverse spaces that drive employee innovation, productivity, and company culture, 3M set out with clear goals about what they wanted to accomplish. As both a destination for training and engaging spaces to support a range of work styles, security and accessibility were an essential part of this design. The lobby space as a first impression is designed to create a sense of volume and spaciousness for circulation between different points of access, bright and welcoming to employees and to visitors of the exhibit and conferencing spaces. Areas that required open access for visitors were given separate entrances, while employee access to the open office and flex spaces required a monitored security entrance with card key access. With its unique lobby features, breakout collaboration spaces, and fitness area, as well as a cafe and cafeteria, employees have access to a fluid space unified by harmonious colors and finishes.

N.O.I. Furniture

Nashville, TN // 7,500 sf

As a furniture dealer, N.O.I. needed a space that could stand as a backdrop to showcase their product in a way that incorporated their internal branding and messaging into the built environment. The result is a rotating showroom that serves as flex space to accommodate N.O.I.’s ever-evolving range of function and occupancy. Key features of the project include lobby millwork with integrated technology, unique restrooms, open office, and conference space. STG’s design team used the client’s more abstract concepts of their brand identity as an opportunity to apply design thinking that delivered emotional impact. With high-contrast finishes, and punctuating dramatic pops of color and pattern, we delivered an elegant backdrop punctuated by moments of surprise that feel authentic to N.O.I.’s brand.

Oracle

Austin, TX // 560,000 sf

Completed in March 2018, Oracle’s new urban waterfront campus in Austin is designed to attract, retain and inspire top talent—including the many millennials now entering the workforce. The vision is a facility that encourages outstanding employee performance while enhancing comfort and well-being. The design includes flexible, forward-thinking spaces featuring large floorplates and ten-foot ceilings for abundant natural light, and thoughtful connections to nature and the outdoors—including a stunning outdoor plaza—that provide workers with the opportunity to reflect and recharge. Amenities include multiple cafes and state-of-the-art wellness and fitness facilities.

BOX London

London, United Kingdom // 28,550 sf

STG Design collaborated with Box to design office locations in Austin, New York, Tokyo, and London that all reflect the look of their headquarters in Redwood City, CA USA. Each of these offices is designed to Box standards, but still maintains a unique sense of the location, weaving in playful local design elements with a distinctive Box vibe. For Box London, STG brought in classic elements of British culture, with the materials and finishes hand-selected to create a workspace that aligns with the Box brand. This office includes multi-functional spaces and brand graphics throughout, with a central feature stair connecting floors. Some of the details of the project include gastropub-inspired elements, San Francisco-inspired touches such as the library wallpaper and murals, and a Box logo wall designed with English teacups for an Instagrammable moment.

Indeed Sales Office

Austin, TX // 38,000 sf

Indeed’s expanding sales team relocated their downtown office to a first generation space in the Central Business District in the heart of where the talent is and wants to be. Providing 360-degree views and proximity to restaurants and nearby Ladybird Lake hike and bike trails, Indeed set out to achieve high standards for the health and well being of their employees. The overall design integrates an elevated industrial look combined with elements to highlight Indeed’s vibrant and energetic company culture. The floorplate is an open layout, featuring a large dining hall, multiple lounge areas, and a variety of ancillary spaces that provide flexibility for visiting amenities like barbers and nail technicians. As a celebratory tradition of accomplishing sales goals, a custom made gong was given a place of honor in the lounge area and surrounded by graduated platform seating, further enabling employee engagement.

Wilsonart

Temple, TX // 31,000 sf

Wilsonart approached STG Design to provide architecture and interior design services for its new American headquarters. The goal of the Wilson Center was to showcase the company’s capabilities and unique products while providing a unifying and versatile workspace. The sloped roof uniquely frames the entrance with striated red metal paneling that pops against the transparent all-window lobby and native limestone building. The front desk features a custom-printed laminate digitally reproduced of the break room reclaimed wood flooring. The main hallway serves as a central artery connecting the lobby to a relaxing break room at the back of the building. This corridor offers access to an open-space café and outdoor patio which encourage breaks and spontaneous employee collaboration. Wilsonart’s new space maximizes the potential to beautifully display the company’s cutting edge products while maximizing its employees’ potential.

RetailMeNot

Austin, TX // 100,000 sf

As the world’s largest marketplace for digital offers, RetailMeNot wanted the headquarters to support their fast-paced industry and highlight the company’s vibrant and dynamic culture. Based on the idea of turning the workspace into an immersive retail website, this multi-phase, multi-floor project was designed to represent a “home page,” providing a glimpse of RetailMeNot’s featured shopping categories. In place of a traditional receptionist, a barista greets and directs clients and guests. From there, guests have access to conference and phone rooms; each categorically themed to mirror RetailMeNot’s digital retailer departments. The result is an open, playful, yet functional space suitable for RetailMeNot’s continued growth as a consumer-inspired innovator.

Rubicon Equities

Nashville, TN // 3,200 sf

STG Design was tasked by the client with creating a high-design workspace that would fit seamlessly into any international market. With the challenge of designing a stable yet adaptable space, the original concept of a completely open plan space was toned back to a warm, minimalist feel. Through the application of glass divides and staggered overlapping lighting, an open yet contained space with distinctive areas emerged. The Subtle Blend rug was crucial in providing weight and density to the overall design, unifying a unique and open space while being as sensitive as possible to the client’s initial requests of minimal permanent imposition on the building.

Silvercar

Austin, TX // 9,229 sf

Providing car rental service from 23 locations throughout the United States, Silvercar wanted their Austin office to reflect mechanical influences and raw materials that communicate their welcoming but eclectic culture. By embracing the industrial bones of the building interior, a mix of inviting, unrefined and personal style all come together to create a feeling of warmth through use of natural materials like wood, clay, and biophilic design. Maximization of open workstations allows for future growth and flexibility of use, with collaboration spaces that include meeting, lounge and breakout areas.

Stitch Fix

Austin, TX // 18,000 sf

As an online personal styling service, Stitch Fix hired STG Design to create a similarly fashion-forward interior for its new Austin office space. The interior design reflects a neutral color palette with varied textures and patterns giving the space depth and interest. Corporate color branding is infused in a variety of ways throughout, including gypsum ceiling accents, doors, accent furniture and accessories. The furniture design combines both commercial and residential pieces which, in turn, keep the interior fresh, modern and hip.
