RAMA and sita Tue 18 – Sat 22 Oct 7.30pm Thu 20 and Sat 22 Oct 2.30pm matinee

kneehigh the wild bride With instinctive storytelling, devilish humour and heady live music, one of the country’s most exciting and innovative theatre companies takes a sideways look at an epic and poetic wonder tale: the story of what happens when your father accidentally sells you to the devil. Charting a life from broken-hearted girlhood to, perhaps, happy-ever-after womanhood, Kneehigh brings its distinctive ramshackle magic to this grown up romance for brave children and adults alike. kneehigh.co.uk

With thrilling stories, captivating theatre, enchanting song and inspirational live Indian music, storytellers Michael Loader and Saikat Ahamed and musician Stefan Cartwright present a magical half term treat on the eve of Diwali: a kaleidoscope of vivid characters (from honourable kings through ravenous monsters to bounteous Gods) into which is woven Rama and Sita, one of the most famous Hindu epics of all time. Brilliantly twisty and tricksy storytelling, full of fabulous surprises, performed in the round just inches from its young rapt audience.
