There are a number of staff moving on in the next few weeks: Mark Powley (Assoc Rector); Debbie Brenton (Finance); Rachael Fox (Comms); Ben Lees and Hannah Sansome (Ministry Assistants); Kim Mason (ending maternity leave).

We would like to give each a gift of thanks for their ministry.

If you would like to contribute you can either give to a named individual or into a ‘leaving gift’ pot via the offertory baskets.

As a result of a great response to our Vision 6.30pm Baptism Service Appeal with 44 new givers, Lead: Lottie Jones 53 increasing their giving Preach: Chris Sayburn and 67 pledging one-off gifts, our giving expectation 10.30am Wrangthorn this year will increase by Lead: Hannah Sansome £73,000, reducing our Preach: Joanna Seabourne budgeted deficit to £15,000, which is hopefully covered by a surplus from St G’s Centre which has made a good start to the year.  St George's is seeking a Finance Administrator for 20-25 hours per week. The post holder will need to be an experienced bookkeeper with a good knowledge of Sage. Please email for more details.

“It is with great sadness that, after 25 years of ministry within St George’s Parish, we are announcing the closure of Community Church. We’ve organised many activities and events, inviting people in the Parish, but with little success in more recent years. We are now few in number and feel that God’s will for us is to hand over responsibility of the residential Parish to St G’s. Our last service will be on the 14th June, followed by a shared lunch.  Robert and Linda Sharp have moved to Otley, worshipping at All Saints Parish Church. They give their heartfelt thanks to all at St G's who have journeyed with them over the past 30 years, particularly in times of illness and bereavement.
