Sun 30th November at 10.30am, 5pm or 7.30pm Join us for our 8th year of this fantastic, not-so-traditional carol service! This is an ideal event to invite friends and family who don’t usually come to church. We’ll be listening to creative arrangements of popular songs, singing carols and hearing a gospel message about how light breaks through darkness.

 We’re shaping up our Christmas team, with a variety of services that need committed volunteers to fill lots of roles. From ushering people to their seats to cooking meals for musicians, from car park attending to mulling wine, we would love to have you on team! If you can offer to help at one or more services, please sign up in the foyer. Thank you!

  We would like to send as many shoeboxes as possible to children in Romania who would not otherwise receive a gift for Christmas. Fill in a flyer from the notice board in the foyer, create your gift then put it with the others at the front of church. The deadline is next Sunday 16 Nov, after which they will be transported to Romania. More info online, or contact Ann.

 All St George’s notices will reside on the notice board by the office, including sign ups, group events and current activities. Network details and events will go on the board near the info desk. All non-St George’s items such as job vacancies, housing offers and community events will be put on the board in the bookstall area.

 You can still pick up your copy of Autumn St George's LIFE in the foyer, with prayer requests and interviews with some of our amazing mission partners.

 Thank you so much to all who helped at and prayed for Jungle Time, Light Party, Heroes of Roots and Club Neon last weekend. All the events went really well with lots of fun all round and three youths giving their lives to Jesus at Club Neon!

The young people of this church and others were very blessed, a huge thank you to all involved.

 6.30pm, Sun 23 Nov, Church Bishop Nick is coming to speak in the 18.30 service in a few weeks’ time. This is his first time at St George’s since becoming Bishop of Leeds.

 This charity are in need of Finance/Admin/IT Volunteers.

Specifically a volunteer with bookkeeping/finance/audit experience is needed to take over the central finance administration. With 14 food outlets and over 400 volunteers throughout the city of Leeds, there are many key roles to be filled. Please contact Janet Clark.

 9.30am-3.30pm, Sat 22 Nov, St Matthias Church, Burley St Matthias are hosting a day for spending quality time with God, led by Tony Horsfall. The day will involve some teaching, with space given to spend time listening to God’s voice before the busyness of Christmas. The cost is £10, refreshments are provided but please bring a packed lunch. For more info, contact Sue Trout.
