Thank you to all who have responded to our Gift Day. So far, 21 people have set up new Standing Orders, 23 have increased their monthly giving and we received many donations. The Appeal is still open and we invite those who have not yet responded to do so over the next couple of Sundays.

We will gather next Sunday morning to celebrate the start of Lent. In church there will be a service for all ages , with options to hear about mission, explore Lent and meditate in prayer.
7.30pm, Wed 18 Feb, Church Join us to reflect and mark the start of lent with a service of Holy Communion. If you wish to join the city centre procession of Leeds churches, please meet in St John’s Church on New Briggate at 1pm.
Sun 22 Feb, all over Leeds! Next Sunday there won’t be an 1830 service as we meet across the city in smaller groups called Networks. All sorts of activities are taking place, so find out more from your Network Leader. For Network info, pick up a Connect Card in the foyer. There will be a gathering in church for newcomers.

LCTM have produced an annual resource which details a project to pray for on each day of the Lent season. Projects include St George’s Crypt, Leeds Faith in Schools, Spacious Places, Friday’s Child and Caring For Life. These diaries are free and available in the foyer. Deadline for the notice sheet is 12 noon on Thursday

7pm, Wed 25 Feb, Church St George’s are exhibiting work by 40 students from Leeds College of Art called Beautiful Beauty Broken Broke. The above date is the launch night but church will also be open Thurs/ Fri 10am-6pm and Sat 10am4pm. All welcome (free!).
9am-2pm, Sat 7 Mar, Centre The Extra Time (50+) Network is running a seminar exploring retirement- coping with change, health issues, relationships, less or no work and increased leisure, spiritual matters and financial aspects. Unwanted furniture in good condition can be donated to the St George’s Crypt shop in Armley. Phone the shop (279 7732) to arrange collection. Slightly damaged furniture can be donated as the Crypt will repair and restore as part of client training and engagement.
