Info EXPLORERS is the children’s church for 0 to 11s in the Church Centre. Fortnightly we meet in the Church first. Please collect children at 11.50am.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer.
ROOTS is our 11-18s congregation. In the morning service, when prompted to leave, meet leaders in the foyer.
INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance.
PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers.
PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.

CHURCH FAMILY ITEMS THANK YOU Cilbie Appleyard and family give thanks for messages of consolation, cards, help and prayers received during the bereavement of Jack. The service was one of thanksgiving for a life lived to glorify God. Thine be the Glory.

ROMANIA SHOEBOX APPEAL Last Christmas’ appeal was a success. About 250 shoeboxes from St George’s and almost 3000 from all over England made it to Romania to make lots of children happy. CARER REQUIRED The position of finance officer has been offered to a member of the church. To take up the post, the family needs a paid carer to look after their 8 year old son (who has Asperger’s Syndrome) for 12 hours/week. MISSISON IN SIERRA LEONE Can you support some of the poorest people in the world by donating goods or CHILDREN’S LIGHT PARTY money to a project in Sierra Leone? Mary 4-6pm, Sat 22 October, Church Centre Booth is going on a short term Mission Trip On the run up to Halloween our 0-11s are in Nov/ Dec to work with a drugs rehab having a Light Party to celebrate all that is project (something close to her heart.) A good and light! The party includes food range of small items that the team can and activities provided for 5-11s as well as take out will bless the people and any a tea/coffee room for parents and a Pray small donations go towards the work with and Play for under 5’s. STUDENT MONEY MANAGEMENT 10.30-4pm, Sat 12 Nov, Church Centre A free interactive internet-linked full-day course designed specifically for full-time students by Christians Against Poverty, the national debt-counselling charity. You will need to bring a packed lunch, a laptop if you have one, and bank statements drinks will be provided. Limited spaces, so to book, sign up on the sheet in the church foyer asap. CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER Mark Lowton has provided invaluable support and advice to the church over the past few years in the area of Child Protection.
