   EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.

REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.

GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online.   5:30pm, Sun 23 Sept, Centre We’re stoked that you’re getting back to Leeds and revving up for the new term. Please join us for the first ‘Student Teas’ of the year next week before the evening service. Cost is £1 but free if it’s your first time.

 We are in real need of willing volunteers to help set up and pack down on a Tuesday morning and to help the children with simple preplanned craft activities during the session. If this is something you can help with please get in touch with Cat or Ailsa.

  We are looking for new volunteers for our children's team from September, working with children aged 5-11. If you are interested in helping regularly or occasionally, speak to Jennifer Roberts.

 30 Sept, St George’s Church Please start thinking about collecting items to give for the harvest. All donations are given to the crypt, who appreciate non-perishable food and are in particular need of toiletries. Collections will be taken in the morning and evening services in 2 Sundays’ time.

  12noon, 19 Sept, Centre The speaker this month will be Bob Powley. All over 60s are welcome to join.

 8.30am, Sat 22 Sept, Centre Join us for a hearty breakfast and social time. At 9.30am there will be the option to join on a men's table at the Academy of Life - please register ahead if you are interested in joining the Academy of Life.

7.30pm, Sat 22 Sept, Church Centre This is event is being organised to raise funds to support St George's Internship Scheme, the Romania Fund and Save the Children. Tickets are priced at £5, concessions £3 (includes refreshments). Tickets available from Paul Clegg or pay on the night. Please come along and give your support.

 7-9.45pm, Sat 22 Sept, Church Hundreds in our community are destitute - no home, no permission to work, no access to benefits. Come to this free event to find out what we can do to help our destitute neighbours, featuring Ice and Fire Theatre and a local Zimbabwean Choir.

7.45pm, Mon 17 Sept, Centre This group re-starts tomorrow. We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month for quiet, meditative, reflective prayer. Newcomers welcome or for more information contact Elsie.

 7.30pm, Mon 24 Sept, Centre This evening aims to bring together people with an interest in African mission as well as some African members of the congregation to discuss and celebrate St G’s links with Africa. There will be guest speakers and an opportunity to think about how we can be effective in partnering with various countries. Pick up a flyer in the foyer for details.

October 2013, Bethlehem Two members of St G's are hoping to join a group from Harrogate in October 2013 to visit Bethlehem on a two week work placement. Our two members will be working at a hospital for the disabled; our colleagues from Harrogate will be helping Palestinian farmers with their olive harvest. There will be an element of sightseeing around Jerusalem / Bethlehem as well as work. If anyone is interested in joining the group please contact David Kibble.

This Saturday 22 September, 9.30am-1pm, Church Centre Academy of Life with Mark Powley A new course in practical discipleship focusing on seven ways we become like Jesus, growing lifelong discipleship through a mix of inspiring teaching, and practical exercises through the year.

Faith Track with Jon Swales This track will give an overview of the Christian faith and look deeper into what it means and how to live it. This week we will be watching a presentation by Jane Morris on ‘Creation’.

We need helpers for registration, refreshments, bookstall, set up and pack down, as well as some strong people to move tables and chairs. You will receive a free pass for all sessions with your pack.
