GOODBYE We say goodbye today to Chris Sayburn and Jimmy Lawrence as we send them out from St George’s to start their curacies. We thank them for their ministry and pray that God will continue to bless them.

ORDINATIONS A number of people in our Diocese are being ordained as either Deacons or Priests at the end of June/beginning of July. They include Chris Sayburn, Jimmy Lawrence and Nick Lattimer (former Intern). Please pray for the future ministries of all those being ordained.

REFUGEE & ASYLUM SEEKER HEALTH: 9.30am- 4.30pm, Sat 25 Jun, South Parade Baptist Church The Christian Medical Fellowship are running a one day course open to all healthcare professionals providing an introduction to the key health needs of refugees and asylum seekers. The programme is practical and interactive, led by local doctors working in this field, and topics include common mental and physical health presentations, and how to overcome barriers to healthcare delivery. REFUGEE SERVICE OF CELEBRATION 4pm, Sun 26 Jun, Left Bank This service is part of Refugee Week, which takes place every year across the world. The service will provide an opportunity for Christians in the city to show solidarity with those who suffer persecution; especially as many have been oppressed because of their Christian faith. We will also be praying for a wise and just asylum system in both the UK and in Europe more generally. For more information pick up a flyer from the foyer.

SUMMER SUNDAYS In order to give our Children's Team a well-earned break during the summer holidays, we run Summer Sundays. These sessions take place during the morning service, and are a practical, fun way for people to help the kids in our church family encounter God. If you are available for one or more Sundays from the end of July through to the end of August, please get in touch
