EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.
REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. Tony is retiring on 17 May after 10 years of working in various roles for the organisation including Centre Manager and, more recently, Buildings Manager for the Church and Crypt. We would like to mark Tony’s retirement with a monetary gift. If you would like to contribute, please put your gift in an envelope marked ‘Tony’ and hand to a member of staff, a church warden or put it in the offertory bag.

Over the last 18 months a few items have gone missing from the kitchen in the centre to the value of approximately £500. Some large pans/ gastronomes and a few smaller items have disappeared making it difficult for groups to cater for their meetings. If you have borrowed anything please can you return it to the centre.
Thu 18 July, Church The Xchange Xtravaganza event is planned for 18 July 2013. This is an opportunity to discover more about the Global Mission projects we are supporting as a church. There will be a meal followed by presentations by Andrew Buckler (France), Chip and Diane Cowles (Newcastle/ Agape) and Mike Chesterton (Tearfund).
7.30 pm, Weds 24 Apr, Leeds Minster This is a joint fundraising event for the Leeds Minster and St George’s Crypt. 3 Choirs are taking part: St Aidan’s School Chamber Choir, Sing and Tonic and The White Rosettes. The concert is free, but there will be a retiring collection
7pm, Sat 11 May, Centre Spacious Places is hosting its first ever dinner: a great opportunity to hear more about the work of Spacious Places, and hear clients' testimonies of their journeys of recovery. 7.30pm, Wed 24 April, Church At the ACM we will be celebrating what God has done at St George's over the past 12 months and appointing 6 new people to the Church Council (PCC). The PCC meets every 2 months and its role is to share oversight of the mission and finances of the church with the Rector and other staff. There is one space for a Deanery Synod member. The Deanery Synod elects people to the General Synod which makes decisions for the whole church. If you think this is a ministry for you, please speak to a warden/ member of staff/Dave Sankey or Janet Gibson.

Sun 19 May, Church Confirmations by the Bishop will be held in the morning as well as baptisms for those who have not been baptised previously. Baptisms will take place in the evening service as well as renewal of baptismal vows for those who were baptised as infants. If you are interested in any of these, speak to a member of clergy as soon as possible.
