Sun 30th November at 10.30am, 5pm or 7.30pm Join us for this fantastic, not-so-traditional carol service! This is an ideal event to invite friends and family who don’t usually come to church. We’ll be listening to creative arrangements of popular songs, singing carols and hearing a gospel message about how light breaks through darkness.  We need lots more helpers for our Christmas team! Various services need committed volunteers to fill many roles, from ushering people to their seats to cooking meals for musicians, from car park attending to mulling wine! We would love you to help at our services, please sign up in the foyer asap. Thank you!

  We need a few people to bake a ‘tray’ bake of fruit cake - cut up into small squares so that visitors on Christmas Day can grab a piece with a tea/coffee. If you can help, please email Janet.

Next Sunday we would love children to be in Contemporary Carols, but if they become restless there will be options including Crèche in the Centre.

St Luke’s Holbeck are seeking an under 7s Children’s and Family worker for 10 months of maternity cover. 15hrs per week, £9.34 p/hr. For info/applications, e-mail Alistair.

 Thank you so much to everyone who brought in a shoebox and/ or donated money. 319 shoe boxes have gone to Romania from St George’s, St Chad’s Primary School, St Mary’s Hawksworth Wood, Wrangthorn and Bramley churches. £724 was raised for transportation.

Room via Thoresby Place Christmas is such a busy time, and there’s lots going on at St George’s and in the city. Please come along to pray with others for our events and for Leeds.

  Christ Church, Harrogate, are offering us the opportunity to join an olive picking fortnight in Bethlehem in October 2015. The fortnight will enable you to work alongside Palestinians and internationals. You will also visit some of the tourist sites in Israel and Palestine. For further details contact David Kibble.

 7.30pm, Sat 6 Dec, Blenheim Baptist Church This event is free with music provided by the excellent James Farrell Concert Band and refreshments provided. We will be singing along to many popular Christmas songs (carols and some secular songs) with some instrumental pieces to allow us to get our breath back!
