   EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.

REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.

GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. At the ACM on Wednesday, Lynne Fox, Philip Sykes and David Kibble were elected as Churchwardens for the coming year, with Ann McKenna-Page elected as Community Church Deputy Warden. Chris Baxfield, Richard Fox, Ruth Gilfillan, Brian Haith, Philip Lancaster, Hilary Vinall and Ann Weir were elected to the PCC for 3 years, joining Andy Eaves, Mike Jenkins, Che Seabourne and Jane Woodhead who are remaining on the Council. There is still one vacancy on the Deanery Synod where Ben Allison, Judith Jackson, Michelle Plant continue to serve. Please pray for the new Council as they seek to serve the church.

7.30pm, Sat 25 May, Centre We need you for the Romania Mission! An extra place has become free on the mission trip, from late evening on the 26th July to 4th August 2013. Please contact Che as a matter of urgency if you can take up the place. We're also hosting a fundraiser (see above), please get in touch if you can help or offer talents.

  Tony is retiring on 17 May after 10 years of working in various roles for the organisation including Centre Manager and, more recently, Buildings Manager for the Church and Crypt. We would like to mark Tony’s retirement with a monetary gift. If you would like to contribute, please put your gift in an envelope marked ‘Tony’ and hand to a member of staff, a church warden or put it in the offertory bag.

  28-30 June, The Jonas Centre Bookings are now being taken for the women's weekend away. Flyers can be found on the notice board in the church foyer, please return the slip to the office or a member of staff. We'd love to see you there, why not come along as a Network or small group? Come along to meet women of all ages, worship, pray and receive teaching from Mary Clark.

  7-9 June, Marrick Priory A group of men from St G's are going to the Yorkshire Dales for a weekend of Sharing Life and Being Men, adventurous activities, challenging teaching and worship together. Please sign up in the foyer or see Dave.

 This Sunday, Mark Greene is preaching in the morning and evening services. Mark’s compelling book on relationships, The Best Idea in the World, is now available on the bookstall for £6.

This is an opportunity to meet with students, be entertained, try foods from different countries and find out what we do in our network. Thu 18 July, Church The Xchange Xtravaganza event is planned for 18 July 2013. This is an opportunity to discover more about the Global Mission projects we are supporting as a church. There will be a meal followed by presentations by Andrew Buckler (France), Chip and Diane Cowles (Newcastle/ Agape) and Mike Chesterton (Tearfund).

7pm, Sat 11 May, Centre Spacious Places is hosting its first ever dinner: an opportunity to hear more about the work of Spacious Places and hear testimonies of clients' journeys of recovery. Tickets are £10 (£5 conc.) and include a two course meal provided by Nurture with drinks. Buy tickets from Ruth.

Over the last 18 months some items have gone missing from the kitchen in the centre to the value of approximately £500. Some large pans/gastronomes and a few smaller items have disappeared making it difficult for groups to cater for meetings. If you have borrowed anything please return it to the centre.

  Following the meetings which took place in Jan/Feb, this interactive theatre production is on the move again. May 5/11/12 and 15/16 June, St Matthias Centre, LS4 2DZ Open auditions will take place on all of these dates at 2-5pm.   5.15pm, Fri 10 / Sat 11 May, Outwood House, LS18 4HR Lance Pierson, actor, returns to WYSOCS to bring Betjeman’s poetry to life and explore his worldview. Against the backdrop of Outwood House and gardens, we start on Friday with wine and nibbles, or you can come on Saturday morning from 9.30am for a 10.30am start. Entry is by ticket (£12/£8 concessions), booking online or by cheque.

 Sun 19 May, Church Confirmations by the Bishop will be held in the morning as well as baptisms for those who have not been baptised previously. Baptisms will take place in the evening service as well as renewal of baptismal vows for those who were baptised as infants. If you are interested in any of these, speak to a member of clergy as soon as possible.
