EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTSis our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we host a student network every Thursday night at 7:30 during term time.
REFRESHMENTSare served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. Sat 12 May, Ripon Cathedral, 5.30pm Jonathan has been invited by the Bishop to become an Honorary Canon of Ripon Cathedral, and will be inducted at their Evensong service. This is a way of thanking both Jonathan and St George’s for the part we play in the life of the Diocese, one of the ways in which we carry out our Sharing Life/Loving Leeds ministry. Everyone is welcome to attend the service, but please be seated by 5.20pm.
7.30pm, Mon 30 April, Church Centre Join us at Xchange, our mission forum to hear from Will Talbot about his time in India last summer, Elanor Clucas will be sharing about the project she is running in Kenya this summer and from Dan Chadwick about his work with ‘Leeds Faith in Schools’.
Today Church Centre 5:30pm-6.30pm & 8pm-9pm. Thank you for all the clothes donated. There will be a ticket system in place, any donated clothes will be worth a number of tickets that can be swapped for other clothes. For those who don’t bring items to swap there will be tickets available for purchase on the night with proceeds going to the Crypt and Spacious Places. It would be great to see you there.

Thu 10 May, Caring for Life Restaurant, Cookridge Christian charity Caring For Life are laying on a 4-course meal for only £19.99 per person. This is a lovely friendly venue that aims to share the love of Jesus with all in their care. At the Annual Church Meeting on Wednesday, Andy Eaves, Mike Jenkins, Che Seabourne and Jane Woodhead were elected to the PCC. Judith Jackson and Michelle Plant were elected to the Deanery Synod. Please pray for all those who serve on the Council.

Farrell Polson, our caretaker, is retiring on 16 May. He has served both the Church and the Crypt faithfully for the last 13+ years, firstly as a volunteer, then as church caretaker. He has worked quietly and conscientiously, maintaining the fabric of the church, our houses and preparing the church for events. We would like to mark his retirement with a gift. If you would like to contribute, please put your donation in an envelope marked Farrell Polson and put in the offertory bags or give to a member of staff.

With a vast majority of The City of Leeds primary school children having English as their second language, they are in need of volunteers to come into the school and do one to one readings with individual children. Training will be provided. Anyone willing to help please contact Joanna.
