Info EXPLORERS is the children’s church for 0 to 11s in the Church Centre. Fortnightly we meet in the Church first. Please collect children at 11.50am.

GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer.

ROOTS is our 11-18s congregation. In the morning service, when prompted to leave, meet leaders in the foyer.

INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance.

PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers.

PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.

REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room.

CHURCH FAMILY ITEMS JACK APPLEYARD, THANKSGIVING 3pm, Mon 3 October, Church You are all invited to a Thanksgiving Service for the life of Jack Appleyard tomorrow. ISRAEL/PALESTINE: FILM NIGHT 7.30pm, Mon 10 Oct, Church Centre We will be showing the film Little Town of Bethlehem which portrays how a Christian, a Muslim and a Jewish IDF helicopter pilot decided to take the path of peace in the search for a solution to the Israel/Palestine conflict. WOMEN OF GOD - EVENING EVENT 7.30-9.30pm, Sat 15 Oct, Church Centre An event of exploration for the women of our different Networks as we all journey together to discover what it means to be a Woman of God. This will be a night of SERVING ALPHA A team of great people are called to serve discussions, community, worship, prayer and testimonies from women in the our Alpha guests on Weds evenings. If church; largely focussing on the topic of you're always the one in the kitchen at self-image. If you are not yet connected to parties, come & join the team to serve a a Network but would like to be, this will be meal. CHILDREN’S LIGHT PARTY 4-6pm, Sat 22 October, Church Centre On the run up to Halloween our 0-11s are having a Light Party to celebrate all that is good and light! The party includes food and activities provided for 5-11s as well as a tea/coffee room for parents and a Pray and Play for under 5’s. Our theme is ‘Stories’, so come as your favourite storybook character. TEARFUND REPRESENTATIVE Linda Sharp has been promoting Tearfund's Created Gifts products at Christmas for the past 10 years, generating sales of c.£3k each year. She is unable to do so this winter and would love to hear from anyone who might like to consider taking over this voluntary role. The Crypt would love clothing, jewellery, books, CDs and furniture. You can bring them to the Church, drop into the Crypt at Thoresby Place or directly to the shop on Armley High Street.

CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER Mark Lowton has provided invaluable support and advice to the church over the past few years in the area of Child Protection. CRYPT MUSIC FESTIVAL 2-12pm, Sat 8 Oct, Holbeck The festival has a mix of 11 indie, rock and acoustic bands, DJ’s and poets taking part. 6.45 LEADERSHIP COURSE 6.45am, Wed 2 Nov, Church Centre Are you up for the challenge? Are you already leading at home, at work, or in church? Is God calling you to lead a Network or Small Group? Whether you have been leading for years or are just wanting to explore what Christian leadership looks like, this is a great chance to look further at what leadership means and how we grow as leaders shaped by Christ.
