EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.
REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. A number of people have been tirelessly working over the past few months to create our beautiful Christmas banner and artwork. We thank: Debbie Carmichael, Susie Orger, Sue Bishop, Angela Betts and Graeme Collins, for all the hours of their time they gave to bless us in this way.
10.30am, Sun 6 Jan, Church John and Michelle Walker have been worshipping at St George’s since John retired as vicar of Calverley. John is joining the clergy team part-time in 2013, so please join us for his licensing by the bishop, supporting him in his new role at St George’s.
All couples getting married next year, here or elsewhere, are welcome to attend our marriage preparation course. Those marrying at St G's will automatically be invited, but any other couples wanting to join a course should contact Janet Gibson for more.

Decisions on church direction are made collaboratively through the Staff Team, the PCC and a number of committees, with members drawn from our congregation. In order to keep the vision of these committees strong and fresh, the PCC has agreed that we need a regular turnover so we are currently looking for people with interest or experience in mission, finance, business, law or marketing. Fri 11- Sat 12 Jan St George's are hosting a conference for Iranians and British people on 12 Jan and we require rooms for one couple and four single men for the night of 11th. It will be a special opportunity to learn first-hand what the Lord is doing among our Iranian brothers and sisters! Fridays, fortnightly 11 Jan - 22 Mar How and why should Christians study or teach? How should we deal with claims that seem hostile or atheistic? How can we be better educators? Mark Roques will be leading six workshops on “Biblical wisdom for Christian learning”. Intended for anyone involved in education - teachers, students, parents, lecturers - these sessions will explore a biblical approach to knowledge. The course is free to attend (donation appreciated).
