Words from the CCP Hello AIESEC Nigeria! It’s indeed great to be reaching out to you all from the thresholds of the Coal City. With great expectations and anticipation, I invite you all to the next National Congress coming up in Enugu State early next year! It’s been some time since an AIESEC conference was held in Enugu, and hence it would be a first timer for many AIESECers out there journeying to the east for this conference. Brace yourselves therefore, you’re in for an awesome experience from your arrival to your departure. The new sights, the amazing delicacies, the culture shock, the mountains and the amazing view from their top; you just can’t imagine. Well well, before I digress out of anticipation and unveil the surprises we have in store for you all, let me help pass across, our humble but necessary expectations for this conference; NC 2017 is a planning conference hence AIESECers are expected to turn up with the right mindset to successfully do that and forge new ways to move their LCs forward. Also we are all expected to be at our best behavior throughout the conference. Let’s be good ambassadors of AIESEC and strive to achieve our goals and project AIESEC Nigeria in a better light than ever before by taking responsibility for our experience and working towards being more productive than we were yesterday. With that, the entire conference committee and Enugu looks forward to seeing you all! Viva AIESEC! …CHUKWUMAEZIOKWU JAMES EMEJULU Conference Committee President
About NC National Congress (NC) is the first of the three annual conferences organized by AIESEC in Nigeria. It is a planning conference for every new AIESEC in Nigeria term where young and creative minds from 15+ universities across Nigeria come together to brainstorm and come up with strategies to drive the individual Local Committees (LCs) forward. It was lastly held by AIESEC Jos in 2016 and for this
year, AIESEC Enugu will be hosting it in the Coal City. This is a conference usually scheduled for five days where delegates will be subjected to intensive learning and interactive sessions facilitated by leaders within and outside of AIESEC in Nigeria IN
Welcome to Nsukka (ENUGU) The state derives its name from its capital city, Enugu. The word "Enugu" (from Enu Ugwu) means "the top of the hill". Nsukka is situated in the rural section of Enugu State, Nigeria. Enugu is widely regarded as the capital of the eastern region. Nsukka, known for its sporadically located hills and highlands, as with almost all the sections of Enugu State, is also home to the first indigenous university in the country: The “University of Nigeria Nsukka”. As with the other highlands in the country, Nsukka is a “relatively” cold place to be during the dry season (between December and January), with its temperature often
falling below 20°C. Its rural nature allows for the appreciation of the cool and natural air that often evades us in other parts of the country. Nsukka has a pretty unique set of local dishes of which “Okpa” stand’s out. This delicacy can be prepared in different ways. This
creates different variants to that one food. One food which, according to the locals has kept the University Students surviving. One might easily observe that it is the major breakfast in the environment IN
