Tata Technologies, a global product engineering and digital services company, is to scale up its West Midlands operations and create of around 350 jobs in the region.

The company says that this marks its commitment to develop and leverage the next generation of digital capability and talent in the West Midlands through strategic collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton and the University of Warwick to establish Centres of Excellence for Cybersecurity, FUSA (Functional Safety for Automotive) and AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture).

Located in Leamington Spa (Tachbrook Park), Tata Technologies’ European Innovation and Development Centre (EIDC) serves as the organisation’s European Headquarters delivering engineering and digital solutions across the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors in European, US and Asia-Pacific markets. It houses engineering support services, two advanced engineering labs and an R&D centre.

The plans were announced to coincide with a visit by West Midlands mayor Andy Street to the site, where discussions centred on Tata Technologies’ pledge to develop a diverse and inclusive workforce in the region, supported by its initiativeRainbow, driven across the organization.
