JOIN the #PINKCHALLENGE I still remember our first issue. It seems like only yesterday.

Today we are making a presence

in Miami as well as across borders. As we approach October, I request one thing from you, join me in the campaign to raise awareness on Breast Cancer. Let me introduce you to the #PINKCHALLENGE. Whether you are here or there, everyone can access the internet and social media now a days. So donate $1 or more to the American Cancer Society and/or join their campaign “Making Strides, post the confirmation of your support on Social Media, and hash tag, #PINKCHALLENGE. Lets do a virtual march, a digital statement so show how much we desire to help those diagnosed with Breast Cancer to win. We all can make a difference. All it takes is at least $1. Once again, than you for your support. I hope you enjoy this issue. Feel free to write me your comments by email at: info@stilomag.com.

Thanks once again. Remember always, Live, Laugh & Love Carol Moda (True Fashionista and Editor in Chief) Follow us on Twitter @MsCarolModa @StiloMagDotCom

We Love Zara This season, Zara’s Women Collection, features, pieces that are simple but yet bold; masculine, yet feminine. Animal print, versus dark solids, greys, versus, bold primary hues; the choice is yours. We love the accents of color and print in contrast with simple darker solids. The looks are very sleek and confident.

H&M MEN Fall 2014

We love color, but Fall, we are going back to the basics, back to dark solid colors. Expect a lot of play with monochrome and only accented print or color these season, for both Men and Women. Also, from what I have seen on the Runway, both Men and Women Collections both have similar looks… yes, masculinity is the new black, lol. We can translate this into the sudden feeling of power on both sides. People have gotten their groove back and they are not afraid to show it.

30

Stilo Magazine www.stilomag.com

H&M Mens Wear features blacks and greys in the Men’s Fall Collection. From business to bad boy, and even both, the looks are all about layering the right pieces. Over the past few years we have seen more emphasis on style in Men’s Collections and we can thank our affordable brands such as River Island, H&M and Zara for implementing this. So who is the H&M Man this Fall? He is all about his business, got a little edge to him and of course has some swag.

CONNECTION

Belt it , Boot It , & Don’t forget the Tights or the Socks..

To belt or not to belt, that is the question. Fall 2014 is all about creating shapes with accessories. Rule #1, do layer, Rule #2, due collect belts this season. One thing I love about French Connection is that they have a talent for creating great style with simple and minimalistic pieces by using simple accessories. This fall is not really about bright colors or crazy looks; it’s about creating an edge with minimalism. See how they paired, white opaque tights with grey knee-high boots, or the classic, boot over skinny jeans? You don’t have to create new trends to look trendy, this season, work with what you got. The key to style is to do what looks best on you. Don’t divert from what you love, just change how you layer a little by adding some new apparel from French Connection.

LINE F/W 2014 KNITWEAR In scrolling through fall 2014 look books and runway images, I stumbled across this collection called, Line Knitwear. I have never seen knits look so sexy and poised. There is something about that perfect outfit that not only hugs the right curves on your body, but also feels great while wearing it. Their use of color varies. I see soft pastel and greys, but then there are bright bold colors like red. The variety is perfect for this season. Feel free to mix and match with other brands. Maybe add some great high leather boots or a leather jacket. Wear a skinny belt or even that great bold color purse. My favorite thing about Fashion Publishing is that we get to introduce our readers to brands they have might never hear of. This is collection, you will definitely remember. I see a future classic. #StayTuned‌

PIAZZA SEMPIONE S/S 2015 For next Spring/Summer, Piazza Sempione reconfirms its links with the art world, taking inspiration from the famous painting “Rotazione di ballerina epappagalli” by Fortunato Depero – the avant-garde artist and a leading figure in Italian Futurism, renowned for his amazing visual and chromatic conceptualism. The season opens with an exclusive capsule collection, which sees the iconography of the painter showcased through the use of a special pigment overprinting technique in the black-andwhite theme or in a special ton-sur-ton matt version, further enriched with shiny three-dimensional hand embroidery. The dancer, the parrot and the palm are dramatically recreated in brushstrokes on dense, velvety cotton, with the fabric used as a canvas to recreate the sophisticated “Ink Splash” graphics which adorn the dresses, the blouse and the long tunic skirt, paired with crêpe de chine or cotton ramier shirts. Alongside the primary colors, also blended into an all-over print of tulip flowers, the main col- lection’s summer palette revolves around shades of blue and safari green, revisiting the original drawing by the Maestro, or creating plays on white and ecru bayadere stripes.

46

Stilo Magazine www.stilomag.com

Materials include chambray denim, cotton and linen blends, satin cotton and poplin, fluid silk and fine knitwear. Tailored into essential, clean-cut volumes, these fresh, comfy fabrics feature contrasts in different proportions, alternating rigorous lines with looser, softer silhouettes - like in the boxy-shaped top worn over shorts with pin tucks and soft, corolla shaped or pleated skirts. In its apparent effortlessness, each look is a statement of femininity and contemporary elegance, often touching on the stylistic code of composition

and decomposition. A concept also expressed, alongside the cuts, volumes and graphic use of color, through the absolute modernity and versatility of this series of easy-to-match, day to night pieces. Words & Photos, Submitted By: Siempone.Com

ANGELOS BRATIS S/S 2015 “For me it’s a process of evolution and technique. There’s a lot of bias cut, a technique which is fundamental to me. I’m not trying to find a trend,” Italian Based Fashion Designer, Anglos Bratis told Vogue recently. Fluidity, that was the word that came to my mind as I looked at Angelos Bratis’ Spring / Summer 2015’ Collection. The angles, the way the fabric lays on the feminine body, is simply art. Designers like Bratis, are not what you called trendsetters, but staples in which trends are derived from. Femininity, a word in a season where the androgynous creativity has inspired masculinity in women’s wear, completely describes Bratis’ collection. His dresses have a way of accentuating the woman’s body in an elegant manor. The pieces create movement in its own fashion and in result create the energy that compliments the vibrant woman. ANTONIO MARRAS S/S 2015 Italian designer, Antonio Marras, makes bold statements with his new Spring Summer 2015 collection. The collection features a combination of geisha, retro and artistic symbolism. The play on deeper hues such as, maroon, red, orange, and blue in contrast with black and white creates a different level of visionary. Marras’ collection represents where our industry is right now, ready for a bold presence. Minimalism is nowhere near, Marras shows us how to make fashion speak loud. The bold elegance of the collection turns heads as it lets on lookers know that the Antonio Marras is rising to another level of creativity through art and fashion. Photos: www.antoniomarras.it
