workshop-dormicity

This dormitory project is located in Pracharadbumphen Community in Ladkrabang industrial district close to Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is an under-developed community. The closest universty to the site is KMITL which primarily focus on engineering and technology. With the characteristics of its surrounding, there is a potential for a official KMITL dormitory that would allow people of similar interests to participate in improving the communities to improve their skills. This KMITL dormitory aims to educate the locals, encourage them to construct their own furnitures/houses to ameliorate the undeveloped community, to equip them with the skills neccesary to find jobs in factories in the district, to give the KMITL students intimate on-site experience, and to provide a place for tourists to fix their broken belonging before their flight at the airport. These purposes are made possible by workshop and educational spaces where students, KMITL professors, locals, and tourists can share and work together to accomplish their alleviate their lives.

arch-cu-studiothe portfolio corridor

This pavillion project aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the architecture faculty of Chulalongkorn University. Its goal is to promote and provide informations about the faculty. The temporary pavillion site is located Central World Plaza, a place some might call Time-Squre of Bangkok. The arrangements of the students work stands run along main circulation of the crowds to avoid obstructing the main existing circulation of the plaza. The curvature of the stands is intent to face the pedestrians with students works to trigger curiousity and lure them toward the pavillion. Seats are placed in to immitate a small amphitheatre. The chosen materials of the pavillion are mainly recycled wooden-pallets to reflect the faculty concern toward the environmental conditions. With these pallets, parts of the pavillion can be pre-fabricated. As a floor, the pallets can be inter-lock together. Pallets can be use as a scheduled replacable presentation boards for sttudents to rotate their work into the exhibition. This material can also be modied and use as a potential structural system of the roof.

Hand motion emotionexperiments

In this project series I studied the intangible essense of the motion of my hands. Physical elements leave tangible traces along their path. Intangible traces of hands are captured. Some physical models that imitates my fingers motion while some convert it to different motions

Moire househome manifesto

A home should be a place where the sense of the place is engraved into the owner. I designed a memorable facade along the corridor while exploring between private/public, dynamic/static spaces. The entrance path of the moire house is equiped with a moire facade that would mark the transition between public and private spaces. The house is located on the roof-top of existing The Kris condominium to reflect the society condition where highrise condominium are prestigous and where the ground spaces are becoming more scarce.

one world two scenesintangible space

This intangible space project attempts to present an alternate reality, ones that is stored in the culture of Thai people. The project is located near Chulalongkorn central pool, where there are rumours and beliefs of mysterious beings and phenomenons. The space purpose the world outside in a different angle where special creatures are manipulated into the scene to trigger thoughts and imaginations of the mystery of the place. This intent is made tangible by punching a whole in a dark room to create a pin-hole-camera effect while a laser projector stimulates motion images of the himmapan creatures in Ramayana Lore as if it is living in the our world. This is an attempt to blend in the myth myth and the real world together. Several experiments of this effect were made and was enchance by the use of convex lens to shorten the length of focus and increase the amount of light that is refracted into the space.

one school, one beingpedestrian bridge

In this pedestrian bridge project I interpret Chulalongkorn University as a living being where the creature heart is King Rama the 5&6 who established the school a decade ago. The faculties of the school are view as veins that sprung from the main artery. This bridge aims to reflect that point of view by exhibiting the long history of the university through series of contrast photographs and adopt the scruptural shape of carbon-fiber pipes that engulf the bridge. These pipes are also use as structural system and gutter box. The sequence of the jouney across the bridge is like time travelling from the past to the future to show the poetic sense of the rich history of Chulalongkorn University, while raising questions about the future.

Cable-crossingpier-design

In this pier design project, the experiece of crossing over the bridge have influence me to introduce an alternative to the existing ferries. The cable-crossing is higher so the users can capture the magnificent view of the mighty Chaopraya River. The cable cars would not block the circulation of boats in the river. It will lessen the fuel usage and reduce the 15-30 minutes waiting time of the current ferry system. The shape of the station is inspired by the shape of Line Thai, Thai ornament that orignated from the shape of leaves. In this case, the same technique is used to shape the pattern using water hyacinth leaf that can be seen throughout the Chaopraya river. The structural colums of the stations are inspired by Suwannahong vessel, a Thai loyal long ship of the Rama Kings.

meditation valleyreading space

This modern meditation space is located in an isolated valley where it is striped from distraction. The sequence of the circulation guides the visitor in from a cave and into a zen garden where he/she can practise the sand drawing meditation. The path then guides the visitor toward the terace with 5 rooms where the inviduals can engage differents feeling. These contain different experience, including waterfall, moss, stone, fire, and emptiness. These are the spaces for the visitor to meditate and practice meditation, to read nothing.

SinkroniseADA award competition entry As a group project, we design a kitchen counter system that is embeded with storages, stove, and fridge with all of it able to lowered down and transform into sinks for convenient cleaning.

Garlic presscollection space

As a final project of series about analyzing an objects, the project function as exhibition space of different kinds of garlic press. This collection space contain a sequence of experiences that signify and enhand the garlic press. The visitor started the journey of being recieved by garlic green house which present how garlic grows with a striking scent. As the visitors continued on and turned toward the exhibition space, they would be presented with a typography of garlic presses that are hanged up on shelves in a grid system. Before leaving, the visitors can try to use the presses and recieved a meal cooked with the garlic they pressed.
