WELCOME THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE’S FAVORITE BAR

In honor of the most exciting time in college basketball – tournament season – The Clubs by JOE is hosting a competition of our own to determine the Florida Panhandle’s Favorite Bar as voted on by our Members. We’ve rounded up a list of the 32 best places to get a drink from Destin to Panama City. This list includes everything from local hot spots to some rising stars. Some are long-standing Member favorites. Some are employee favorites. Some boast views of the Gulf of Mexico, while others are tucked away inside restaurants and hotels. Narrowing our list down to just 32 was not an easy task, there are plenty of great bars around the area. We can’t wait to see our Members’ top pick for the best place to grab a cocktail.

CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR YOUR SECOND ROUND PICKS You can cast your vote on the second round starting today, then continue voting each week as the field gets narrowed all the way until we toast to the champion in a few weeks. How the bracket works: Voting for the 8 second-round matchups begins Saturday, March 30 and runs until 11:59 p.m. CDT Friday, April 5. The winners will advance to the next round, which will start the following Saturday at 12:00 a.m. CDT. The competition runs through this month, with the champion named at the end of April.

We have a great line up of apparel that fits all styles making the Clubs your one-stop-shop for your golfing needs.

March kicked off with our Spring Guest Day held at Camp Creek Golf Club. The course was in great shape helping Lee and the team entertain our Members and guests for the opening event of the year. Congratulations to the team of Mark Edwards and Robert Garey for clenching the victory with an impressive score of 77 gross. Following that great round was the team of Mace Ishida and Van Johnson shooting an equally impressive 65 net. Great playing everyone!

A big thank you to all of our Members for joining us for a Fitting Day at Shark’s Tooth Golf Club. CHEF’S CORNER CREOLE SEAFOOD JAMBALAYA RISOTTO INGREDIENTS • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

1 Cup uncooked Arborio Rice 2 Cups Pinot Grigio 4T Unsalted Butter ¼ cup each diced Holy Trinity (Onions, Celery, Green Bell Pepper) ¼ Cup Minced Garlic 1 Cups Diced Tomatoes 1/2 Cup Tomato Paste 3 Thyme Sprigs, 3 Bay Leaves TT Creole Season, S&P 3 Cups Chicken Broth 1 Cup Heavy Cream 1 Cup Fontina Cheese ¼ Cup Cooked and diced Smoked Andouille ¼ Cup Cooked Crawfish ¼ Cooked Gulf Shrimp ¼ Cup Cooked and Diced Chicken

TRY EVERYTHING! Christopher Waycuilis, Sous Chef WaterSound Beach Club When I was younger growing up in Atlanta, I never really appreciated the variety of food that was right at my fingertips. I had traveled some, but it was never truly about eating. It

wasn’t

until

I

went

North

one

summer and had the chance to visit The Taste of Chicago in Grant Park that I truly was captured by the thrill of food. What seemed like miles of vendors and cultural food overwhelmed my senses and created within me a constant yearning for trying new things. Since putting in my time in a kitchen and becoming a Chef, my life has become consumed with finding inspiration for the next dish. I love taking the time on days off to venture around the area I’m living and seek out restaurants

DIRECTIONS 1. Sauté garlic, Holy Trinity, tomatoes, herbs, and seasoning in butter for 5 minutes on medium heat. 2. Add rice, stirring with a wooden spoon until rice is toasted and coated well. 3. Add wine and continue cooking until wine has cooked out almost completely. 4. Add tomato paste & combine. 5. Gradually add hot stock with ladle, continuously stirring to combine with wooden spoon before adding next ladle of stock. Continue until rice has soft bite. 6. Add Cooked Shrimp, Andouille, Chicken and Crawfish. 7. Add heavy cream and reduce heat to low adding cheese until creamy and combined. 8. Adjust seasonings to taste and enjoy!

and dishes I have never tried before. From braised beef heart, to the freshest scallops right out of the bay, to squid ink risotto, you just never know what you’ll love until you try it. SO TRY EVERYTHING!
