APSeminarisafoundationalcoursethatengagesstudentsincross-curricularconversationsthatexplorethe complexitiesofacademicandreal-worldtopicsandissuesbyanalyzingdivergentperspectives.Usingan inquiryframework,studentspracticereadingandanalyzingarticles,researchstudies,andfoundationalliterary andphilosophicaltexts;listeningtoandviewingspeeches,broadcasts,andpersonalaccounts;andexperiencing artisticworksandperformances.Studentslearntosynthesizeinformationfrommultiplesources,developtheir ownperspectivesinresearch-basedwrittenessays,anddesignanddeliveroralandvisualpresentations,both individuallyandaspartofateam.Ultimately,thecourseaimstoequipstudentswiththepowertoanalyzeand evaluateinformationwithaccuracyandprecisioninordertocraftandcommunicateevidence-basedarguments.
