This presentation will share strategies to incorporate Catholic SocialTeaching principles within the science curriculum We will discuss how issues of social justice can be used to pique the interest of students to studying scientific concepts, for example, citizens who live near factories in Louisiana are at a greater risk for developing cancer, and students will investigate how these chemicals can disrupt natural cell cycling In addition students will apply the faith principles of the Catholic SocialTeaching to consider ways in which these situations can be addressed
