Isaac G. Simmons departed this life on November 22, 2022. He is preceded in death by his oldest half brother, Dominique Sheppard.

Isaac was born on August 15, 1985 in Manhattan, NY to Walter Simmons Jr. and Pamela Smith-Simmons. He relocated to Richmond, VA with his family as a young child. Isaac was educated in the Richmond Public School System; he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and attended J. Seargent Reynolds Community College.

The name Isaac means, “one who laughs” or “one who rejoices.”, and Isaac certainly exemplified the meaning of his name every day of his life. His smile always brightened the room and he could always be found cracking jokes and making other people laugh along with him. He had a vibrant, adventurous spirit and did not mind taking risks. Isaac loved to travel both nationally and internationally, and was always at the center of the action, as the life of the party wherever he went. He will be missed greatly and treasured in our hearts forever.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Kira Simmons and Caasi Robertson; his parents, Walter Simmons Jr. and Pamela Smith Simmons; sister Cheniqua Simmons Jackson (John); half siblings Maurice Simmons (Sylvia), Torris Simmons, LaVorne "Toisha" Simmons (Kendrick Bolds); two nieces, McKenzie Jackson and Morgan Jackson, as well as aunts, uncles, a host of cousins and other close friends.

Remember him with a smile today

He was not one for tears Reflect instead on memories

Of all the happy years Recall to mind the way he spoke And all the things he said His strength, his stance, the way he walked Remember these instead The fun times he ' d give us His eye that shone with laughter So much of him will never die But live on ever after As we loved you, so we miss you In our memory you are near Loved, remembered, longed for always Bringing many a silent tear
