Rev. LaTanya Pender is a native of High Point, NC, the daughter of Gale Melton She accepted Christ at a young age and became a member of Turner’s Chapel AME Church at the age of 11 In 2017, after many years of running, Rev. Pender accepted God’s calling over her life. She has been a registered nurse since 1993 and is now enrolled in Hood Theological Seminary pursuing her Master of Divinity
In July of this year (2022), she was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in the AME Church and was officially appointed as the Pastor of Quinn Chapel AME Church in Roxboro, NC. She is married to Ray Pender and they have 4 children, Ashley, Nadiya, Ebony, and Ely
The Reverend Timothy Daniel Dorsey, the proud son of Lisa V. Dorsey and Timothy D. Alston, was born and raised in the Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C., graduating with the 2005 class of Eastern Sr. High school. While there at Eastern, Timothy taught himself how to read and play the piano a gift that he is really modest about and was a proud member of the world renowned Eastern SHS Choir and Army JROTC It was also at Eastern, that Timothy joined Campbell AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Rodger Hall Reed, Sr. Under Dr. Reed’s leadership, Rev. Dorsey accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 14. Rev. Dorsey felt something different about himself and after several conversations with Dr. Reed, he understood that God had set him apart for pastoral ministry and preached his trial sermon in September 2005
At the close of the 130th Session of the Western North Carolina Conference, Rev. Dorsey was appointed to the pastorate of Johnson Chapel AME Church in Mebane, NC. During the 2022 Summer Summit, Rev. Dorsey received his final ordination as an Itinerate Elder in the Lords Church.
The Reverend Denzel Goodlin serves as the pastor of St Stephens AME Church in Liberty, North Carolina He is a proud graduate of North Carolina Centeral University and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
