2021 COMMENCEMENT

Saturday, June 5, was a beautiful day on the Hilltop, when family, friends, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate the Class of 2021. Head of School Mark Davis captured the feeling of the day, remarking: “Today, we celebrate with a joy almost impossible to describe, given the year from which we have begun to emerge; a joy so diff erent from what the St. Luke’s Class of 2020 experienced; an in-person commencement that reminds us of the joy of being ... simply ... together.” Davis shared a personal comment about each of the 88 graduates – a beloved tradition at St. Luke’s School. “At St. Luke’s, where we value the individual you, not just the collective you, each one of you has mattered in distinctive and powerful ways. The faculty and I have loved watching you contribute, prosper, and grow up before our eyes here on the Hilltop. We will remember you and miss you terribly.”

A COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION

WELLNESS & FITNESS CENTER OPENS

The revolution of change that has transformed the St. Luke’s campus continued this year with the unveiling of the new Wellness and Fitness Center. The reimagined space includes a new weight training zone, a cardio-specifi c training area, a two-story rock climbing wall, a new viewing area for squash, a running ramp, and a turf training area. The Class of 2020 Cardio and Fitness Mezzanine is home to six Peloton Bikes generously donated by the Barkley family. The cardio zone has two treadmills, two ellipticals, two rowing machines, and two additional exercise bikes for the St. Luke’s students and faculty to enjoy. The weight room has all new equipment and will be staff ed by Bluestreak trainers. The certifi ed and highly experienced instructors will be available in the afternoon to assist students with their individual workout plans, lead specialized small-group training sessions, work with coaches and players on team training programs, and provide exercise science and sports training education.
