What's up with worship? The Christ Scene Investigation (C.S.I.) has begun! Be a part of discovering the motive, uncovering evidence, being a witness and exploring the implications in this new sermon series that will have you on the edge of your seat. Start at the beginning, go beyond the caution tape, and trace the steps of God on the scene. This week on the scene: C.S.I.: Motive: Now that you've read the case file you are ready to establish the motive. Why is God on the scene? Third week on the scene: C.S.I.: Evidence: The next step is to uncover evidence of Christ on the scene. Fourth week on the scene: C.S.I.: Witness: Are you a witness? Final week on the scene: C.S.I.: Implications: What does this mean for your life?

UNEWS Welcome to the new UNEWS section of your worship guide! Each week we will highlight events, inspiring stories from St. Lukers, and specific ways to worship, connect, grow and serve during this season or sermon series.

St. Luke's School of the Arts Presents A Year With Frog and Toad KIDS: The St. Luke’s School of the Arts invites you to their production presented through special arrangement with MT International on January 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the St. Luke’s Sanctuary. Under the direction of Gin Jans Smith and presented by “Take the Stage” class students, this show, based on the well-loved characters in the books by Arnold Lobel is a shortened version of Robert and Willie Reales’ Tonynominated musical. This whimsical show follows two great friends through four fun-filled seasons and is a perfect complement to the Frog and Toad family study offered through Children’s Ministries in January. The production is free to the public. For more information, contact Cindy Brough at cbrough@ st.lukes.org or call 407.876.5226.

Missions Update On December 13 the “Very Maxey Christmas” event was held at the Maxey Community Center in East Winter Garden. St. Lukers donated 150 toys for parents to purchase at a discount. The money raised by the community’s first Christmas shop will be used for future family events at the Community Center. “For parents to select the gifts for their children and pay for them with their hard earned money gives the parents a sense of pride in giving gifts to their children, preserves their dignity in providing for their children, and creates a strong relationship between them and St. Luke’s.” ~John Smith, St. Luke’s Community Transformation Volunteer On December 13 St. Luke’s also sponsored a Christmas Dinner and Movie Night for the students and families of MetroWest Elementary school. The overwhelming response by the community was heartwarming as families connected with each other as well as St. Luke’s. “The energy and excitement from the students was contagious. I heard one little boy say this was, 'The best school night ever!' It’s events like this that remind me how much I love serving and what it means to be the church outside of church walls.” ~ St. Luke’s Servant Evangelism Team Volunteer
