Wednesday THRIVE Programming View Wednesday programs for children, youth, and adults at st.lukes. org/thrive. Programs include after school enrichment for elementary, middle and high school students as well as evening opportunities for children, youth, and adults. Classes including Financial Peace University, Disciple I, Project Connect, and “Simplify” classes that follow the sermon series. VBS 2016 Block Party Mark your calendars now for a kick-off to a whole summer of fun and neighborhood fellowship. VBS Block Party is June 20-24. If you are serving, registration opens for VBS and summer camps on February 15.

SERVE

Family Promise January 31 to February 7 Help working, homeless families move toward independence. Up to four families will enjoy meals and a safe place to stay on our campus for one week before they move to the next host church. This is an opportunity for family and friends to serve together and for students to receive volunteer hours. Training Provided. Sign up to donate food or meals; volunteer to help set up, take down or be an evening, overnight or Saturday host at st.lukes.org/serve under the “Serve on St. Luke’s Campus” or contact kbrinker@st.lukes.org.

Jobs Partnership Jobs Partnership transforms the lives of people who are chronically underemployed. The spring class is forming and there are many ways to become involved. There is a one day training session on Saturday, February 6 at Second Harvest Food Bank (411 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32805). Regular classes meet on Thursday evenings, for 12 weeks, beginning Thursday, February 25.

Gleaning February 6 Once a year, St. Luke's gleans unharvested fruit off of local trees and donates it to the Society of St. Andrews to help feed hungry families. Meet at St. Luke's at 8:00 a.m. for supplies and directions. This volunteer opportunity is open to all ages. Sign up at st.lukes.org/serve under “Serve Locally in Orlando”.

National Blood Donor Month Blood Drive Donate lifesaving blood on Sunday, January 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Big Red Buses will be on campus in the front and back parking lots. Make an appointment at oneblooddonor.org using sponsor code #7191 or just show up. Photo ID required. Receive a free movie ticket and wellness checkup including cholesterol screening for donating.
