Family Promise January 31 to February 7 Help working, homeless families move toward independence. Up to four families will enjoy meals and a safe place to stay on our campus for one week before they move to the next host church. This is an opportunity for family and friends to serve together and for students to receive volunteer hours. Training Provided. Central Florida Homeless Persons Count January 27 The Homeless Services Network of Central Florida will conduct the annual Point in Time Count. Help identify homeless individuals in the tri-county area. Visit pit.hsncfl.org to sign up and for more information.
Gleaning February 6 Glean unharvested fruit off of local trees and donate it to the Society of St. Andrews to help feed hungry families. Meet at St. Luke's at 8:00 a.m. for supplies and directions. Jobs Partnership Transform the lives of people who are chronically underemployed. Training provided on Saturday, February 6 at Second Harvest Food Bank (411 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32805). Regular classes meet on Thursday evenings, for 12 weeks, beginning Thursday, February 25.
